Brian Ciciora began his career with Boulder based Samson Design Associates working on technical projects for Coleman Powermate, Zasi Medical and Teledyne Waterpik. He continued his product development work at venture capital and organically funded companies including data storage leader LeftHand Networks (acquired by HP for $360M in 2008) and fuel cell technology developer Mesoscopic Devices (acquired by Protonex in 2007) before taking on Sales Management responsibilities at SkyeTek, Inc. - a venture capital backed RFID startup. After four years of sales and marketing experience at SkyeTek, Brian went to Backcountry Access (acquired by Jarden / K2 Sports in 2012) to contribute technically to the Float Airbag System development. He was promoted to Airbag System Product Manager in November 2009 and again to Director of Product Development and Strategic Sourcing in September 2011. Through early 2014, he served on BCA’s executive team with responsibility for global product and supply chain.

In 2015 Brian founded Truewerk - a digitally native direct-to-consumer apparel brand focused on engineering performance workwear for industrial athletes. Today he remains focused on building the brand into the world leader in technical workwear for a new generation of skilled workers performing physically demanding jobs in often austere environments.

Brian holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and has completed his postgraduate business studies with a dual focus on Finance and Sustainability. Brian's 20+ year career as an industrial athlete has included certifications from the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians, American Mountain Guide Association, American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education and many others. Whenever possible, you'll find Brian in the field working side-by-side with Truewerk customers.
