Summary
Position Highlights:
The EnvironmentalServices Specialty Technician's primary responsibility is disinfecting
Specialty areas such as Infusion Pharmacy, Sterile Processing, Operating Rooms, Procedure Rooms, Cell Therapy. As part of the Spill Response Team, deactivates and decontaminates chemotherapy and other hazardous agent spills. Responsible for reducing the spread of bacteria and infection as well as providing an environment that appears clean, fresh, and polished. This position performs a variety of duties that support the department in maintaining a clean environment for patients and staff. This includes cleaning and disinfecting other areas as needed.
Responsibilities:
* Clean spills containing blood or other potentially infectious material using established infection control, safety, and ES departmental procedures.
* Occasionally may have to work at off-site locations.
* Follow departmental and other regulatory standards regarding all cleaning policies and procedures (using proper disinfectants, labeling chemical bottles, keeping an organized cart, etc.)
* Perform all essential functions following established safety and infection control requirements (perform hand hygiene, wear PPE, etc.)
* Safely uses, dilutes, and stores chemicals and cleaning materials.

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for general maintenance, functionality, safety and upkeep of all facility-related equipment and property owned or operated by TCA Health, Inc., NFP.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (included but not limited to the following);
Assures the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of all clinic property in accordance with OSHA guidelines including: restrooms, waiting areas, and exam rooms.

What You'll Do:
As an Environmental Monitoring Specialist II, you will play a key role in supporting our Microbiology operations:
Perform EM of the classified aseptic production areas including incubation of samples, reading of results, reporting, and approving data (EM activities include but are not limited to contact plates, viable/non-viable counts, microbial ID testing/send-outs, and operator monitoring).
Conducts microbiological media growth promotion and maintains department stock cultures.
Supporting aseptic media fill process simulation validations.
Responsible for QC micro equipment validation, maintenance and calibration.
Performs safety testing on in-process and final drug products.
General laboratory operations (ordering supplies and culture media, operating
laboratory equipment, sample receipt, and send outs)
Other relatable functions may be determined.

You will inspect facilities for compliance with state and federal regulations and permit requirements, as well as review and evaluate permit applications and modifications. You will also identify possible pollution prevention alternatives.
You are going to investigate complaints, perform assessments of contaminated environmental or waste-related media, conduct periodic inspections to verify compliance with existing permits, and determine the effectiveness of existing remedial activities. You will also plan and develop strategies for assisting responsible parties and hazardous waste facilities with non-compliance issues and identify the need for and initiate necessary enforcement actions.
You will also provide technical assistance to Ohio EPA legal staff and the Ohio Attorney General's Office and provide testimony, if necessary, at legal proceedings.
