    Works with the Section Chief to develop and implement a comprehensive service line infrastructure. Works closely with physicians, administrative staff and various other ancillary and support functions to coordinate the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of all activities and programs associated with Service Line, including, but not limited to, physician practice/billing activities, on-campus and off-campus facilities, operations management, capital and operating budget development and management, research activities, new service development, marketing, and customer service initiatives. Job Description: Essential Functions: Works closely with Section Chief, other managers and administrators, and Planning and Business Development to develop and implement plans for the successful growth of the service line. Assists the Chief in establishing annual performance metrics for the service line including research, clinical, financial, service, and similar metrics. Oversees and manages all billing, clerical and ancillary staff within direct supervisory responsibilities. Collaborates with nursing and other areas within direct supervision, to meet the goals of the service line. Ensures coordination and alignment of clinical activities for those operational areas which fall outside of the SLA's direct responsibility (from the patient/family/physician perspective) that are consistent with the plans of the service line. Works closely with the VPs of Marketing, Information Services, Managed Care and similar corporate support areas to develop and implement service line plans and activities. Facilitates change management, and leads/manages major projects/initiatives such as operational restructuring, new service development and major capital projects. Facilitates and recommends annual operating and capital budgets for service line activities. Monitors and administers activity, revenue, expense, and capital budgets for the assigned departments and programs. Analyzes, monitors, and controls allocations for financial, human, and material resources. Collaborates and consults with medical and hospital personnel at all levels, both internally and externally, for the development and coordination of services. Interviews, hires, mentors, evaluates, counsels, and when necessary, discharges subordinate supervisory personnel. Assists subordinate supervisory personnel in developing effective policies and procedures, developing appropriate goals, and resolving complex managerial problems. Coordinates faculty appointments and other related issues with The Ohio State University. Initiates, promotes and stimulates the continuous performance improvement process to improve clinical, service, administrative, educational, and customer service outcomes. Collaborates with payer relations, purchasing and other departments as appropriate to negotiate contracts with vendors, payers, and other third parties. Shares in responsibility for assuring that assigned departments/programs are compliant with all accrediting bodies such as JCAHO and ODH, that appropriate quality assurance programs are in place, and that departments/programs are in compliance with the Hospital Corporate Integrity Program. Works closely with the Section Chief to support and coordinate physician recruitment and retention, including implementation of physician compensation and incentive programs. Education Requirement: Master's Degree in Nursing, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent education and experience, required. Follow the grievance process for all complaints submitted and work diligently to resolve the complaints. Ensure that the agency is meeting or exceeding all requirements for the relevant OAR's. Employee and fiscal management over assigned area. Ensuring the implementation of all company and programmatic policies and procedures. Completing and submitting monthly benchmark reports. Identifying developmental opportunities. Work effectively with other administrators to promote consistency in all regions. Requirements for this position include: Four-year degree in social or human services, eight years of experience in the developmental disabilities field may substitute a degree.
