You can learn a lot and advance quickly if you start from a teller level.

Cons of working at Trustco Bank

Low, low pay. Terrible benefits that cover nothing until you meet a large deductible. Upper management has little regard for employees. Constant turnover. They move everyone around all the time.

What do you like best about Trustco Bank's CEO and the leadership team?

The CEO meets with some employees, but that’s all. He doesn’t follow through on his word.

How would you improve Trustco Bank's culture?

Upper management doesn’t even acknowledge teller staff. They need to remember their employees are people and are valuable. So are the customers. Relationships between employees, customers and the bank are important and valuable and need to be respected and protected. They have forgotten that.

How did you prepare for the Trustco Bank interview?

Show up. They don’t pay attention to candidates to see if they are qualified. They look right through you.

How does your compensation at Trustco Bank compare to the industry average?

They are below average. They do not pay well. And your sick time is part of your vacation time.

What's the diversity at Trustco Bank like?
