WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Welcome members into the branch and provide professional service and sales of deposit products, loan products, and convenient services through effective rapport building skills and proficient knowledge. Responsible for attaining established Credit Union and Branch goals through active participation in sales programs. Accurately and efficiently interpret and process a wide variety of financial inquiries, account openings, loan originations, loan closings, loan disbursements, service requests, and transactions. Secure credit union assets, balances transactions, and complete necessary reports.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Availability to work 40 hours per week Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:15am - 5:45pm and rotating Saturdays 8:45am - 1:15pm at our Golden Valley Branch; non-exempt.
In addition:
An Associate's Degree in Business Administration or a related field, or two years of equivalent work experience.
Two years of cash handling experience or experience serving and interacting with customers.
Experience recommending products and plans to improve a customer's financial position, preferred.
Knowledge of banking and/or credit union regulations, preferred.
Highly-developed interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to help people.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Good decision-making skills and judgement.
Ability to perform calculations and proficiency in basic math skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize work and maintain accurate records.

As a Universal Banker, you will:
Perform teller duties and organizes, balances and proofs cash daily to maintain accurate transactions processed. Identify payees and verify signatures and endorsements.
Perform back-up personalbanker duties, opens a variety of accounts, verify and processes changes to existing accounts, answer customer questions, and resolve related account problems to ensure customer satisfaction. Follow the guidelines of the continuity program with all new Nicolet customers.
Attract and retains customer relationships by extending a courteous greeting in person or by phone and by providing accurate and timely customer service which includes, but is not limited to, cashing checks, accepting deposits and withdrawals, handling loan payments, dispensing cashier's checks and bonds, processing savings withdrawals within established guidelines to ensure customer satisfaction.
Stay current on applicable banking regulations and security procedures and practice to prevent fraud or other bank losses and to comply with regulatory requirements.
Answer customer telephone inquiries promptly and professionally and provide accurate information in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
Assist with night depository duties, to include logging bags, processing deposits, making change orders, issuing receipts, etc.
Promote Nicolet products and services by identifying customer needs and suggesting appropriate products and services to solidify and enhance customer account relationships. Recommend corrective services to resolve customer complaints.
Engage proactively as a sales representative of Nicolet products and services to existing and prospective customers within the community by active participation in community events and/or organizations.
Maintain vault which includes balancing the vault daily and ordering and selling cash for the branch.
Maintain inventory of traveler's checks, cashier's checks and gift cards and ensures adequate supply at all branch locations. Monitors supplies for front line and places orders when necessary.

Position Overview:
A Member Consultant interacts with members through a variety of communication channels including: Face to face, Drive Thru, Phones, Mobile Apps, Chat, Text, SMS, and/or Video Banking. In listening to our member's needs and goals, a Member Consultant recommends different types of consumer lending and account products. Additionally, this role will also assist members with self-serve education, transactions, budgets, account maintenance, and other account related issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Open membership savings, checking, certificates of deposit, Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA), and other credit union accounts or products
Provide information and recommendations to members concerning services and products, directing them to appropriate person when needed
Assist members with consumer lending questions and applications
Listen to member needs, identify, and recommend products and services aligning with member's needs
Determine different types of consumer loan and credit options that are available to the member
Analyze member's financial situation and credit report to determine if it is in the member's best interest to approve the loan
Review loan agreements and gather required documentation and ensure completeness and accuracy in accordance to policy
Approve loans within specified limits, and refer loan applications outside those limits to management for approval
Partner with members to understand their financial goals and assist in creating a personal budget to help them achieve those goals
Proactively reach out to members on products or services that would be a beneficial to help achieve their financial goals
Assist members with accurately and efficiently processing transactions
Provide education to members on our self-serve options
Execute wire or ACH transferring of funds
Instant issue debit, credit, and gift cards
Troubleshoot credit or debit card issues, online banking questions, or other general account related questions and issues
Balance and maintain personal cash drawer and branch vault, and appropriate currency logs if applicable
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
1+ years of customer service or professional experience working with people
1+ years of consumer lending experience preferred
Ability to navigate and resolve complex issues and situations
Ability to achieve call goals set by leadership
Basic knowledge of credit and regulatory policy as it relates to consumer lending
Ability to consistently identify and cross-sell product and service opportunities that will be beneficial to the member
Strong analytical and decision-making skills required with a high degree of accuracy

Required Work Schedule:

Compensation:
This position has a starting pay range of $18.89 - $22.64 per hour.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Availability to work 40 hours per week Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:15am - 5:45pm and rotating Saturdays 8:45am - 1:15pm at our Oakdale Branch; non-exempt.
In addition:
An Associate's Degree in Business Administration or a related field, or two years of equivalent work experience.
Two years of cash handling experience or experience serving and interacting with customers.
Experience recommending products and plans to improve a customer's financial position, preferred.
Knowledge of banking and/or credit union regulations, preferred.
Highly-developed interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to help people.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Good decision-making skills and judgement.
Ability to perform calculations and proficiency in basic math skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize work and maintain accurate records.
A professional and friendly appearance and demeanor.
Required to be compliant with the terms and conditions outlined in TruStone Financial's SAFE Act Policy, which includes the submission of fingerprints, the successful completion of an FBI background check and maintaining current and compliant registration in Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
Compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and all its provisions.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and various background checks.
Regular and reliable attendance at the workplace.

The salary range for this position is $19.00 to $24.00 per hour. In addition, we offer:
