Responds quickly and appropriately to customer needs. Demonstrates interpersonal skills of respect, sensitivity, cooperation, openness, flexibility, positive attitude, and pleasant manner. Follows universal precautions. Gives personal care to patients; including, but not limited to, bathing, shampoo, shaving, mouth care and skin care. Understands the basic elements of body functioning and communicates any changes in the patient's condition or incidents to immediate supervisor or other appropriate member of the Interdisciplinary team. Performs household services essential to health care at home as per the plan of care. Provides an environment, which promotes respect for patient, privacy and property, and creates a successful interpersonal relationship with the patient and family. Immediately reports to the Registered Nurses/Nursing Supervisor changes in the patient's condition and needs. Completes appropriate documentation according to Tender Care Home Health policies. Attends all mandatory in-service programs and staff meetings. The Home Health Aide is primarily responsible to the Registered Nurse in charge of their patient assignment.
