Weekend (Friday - Sunday 5 AM - 5:30 PM) - 2
Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various machines within the production process. They are required to perform various tasks to set up, operate, process and monitor production. The Machine Operator will also be responsible for inspecting parts to specifications and adjusting, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications. This includes the ability to resolve minor component and quality issues as required maintaining expected production results, the ability to maintain production rate as stated on or BOM and the ability to identify difference in each product and verify quality standard of each part and verify process integrity of each cycle per set up sheets and Control Plans.
CORE FUNCTIONS
· Operates machines to ensure continuous production at a constant rate of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials throughout the entire shift and performing basic adjustments to ensure safe and efficient production of products.
· Perform in-process inspections of parts throughout the manufacturing run and ensure they meet visual standards of acceptance.
· Responsible for producing parts in the proper quantity as identified by the production schedule.
· Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup.
· Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion.
· Perform operational procedures to ensure the quality of the product packaged.
· Follow and commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service requirements.
· Report material utilization in the production report.
· Ensure daily production report data is reported correctly and up to date.
· Report material utilization and daily production data.
· Recognize defective materials for color, surface blemishes, finish, and dimensions.
· Identify the proper tooling required for pending production.
· Inspect the condition of molds and component parts for damage and wear.
· Inspect machine, conveyer and tools in department and notify Lead that a maintenance repair form is needed, or replacement tools are required.
· Keeping work cell, department, and fire-doors clear of trash and other obstructions that could hinder department performance/safety.
· Maintain condition of work area to meet 5-S standards.
· Communicate with team members and support teams.
· Maintain professional attitude offering support to Leads, Supervisors and Manager.
· Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist whenever and in whatever capacity needed to ensure continuous production at a constant rate of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials throughout the entire shift.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
· High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required.
· Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred.
· Prior experience operating manufacturing, packaging, and process control equipment required.
· Thermoform, Injection Mold, Douglas, ARPAC, ZED, or related machine operator experience required.
