Tucci & Sons company history timeline
One, it was the first truck Mike’s dad purchased for his new company back in 1950.
Tucci, bought the company’s first new vehicle, a 1950 Ford pickup truck, which was used by the company foreman to supervise projects and to pickup and deliver many of the items that were needed on the various job sites.
Pierotucci started in the 1970’s on the picturesque via Toscanella in the city center of Florence.
From these humble beginnings the owner, Piero Tucci, created a group of artisans who excelled in their craft and in 1972 officially established the Pierotucci Italian Leather Workshop.
Piero and his wife Loretta opened their first boutique in 1974 at via Porta Rossa with a complete line of ladies leather handbags, men’s accessories and more.
1975: Mike bought another company, Asphalt Paving and Engineering, comically known as “APE”.
1980: Mike purchased Shotwell Paving
In 1985 the Tucci family moved the workshop to larger accommodations, where the craftsmen had the space to create their magic.
Since the demand for Pierotucci leather goods continued to grow, Piero, his wife and first born opened the Pierotucci Italian Leather Showroom in 1994 right next to the workshop, creating a one-of-a-kind shopping experience.
Chapter III: Began with an April Fool’s Day 2013 retirement and involves The Arts including Writing, Comedy, and the Blues.
