1980

In the late 1980's, Tulip (Niagara Falls) expanded once again and began recycling spent polypropylene plastics from automotive batteries and re-engineering other polymer resins for non-battery products.

In 1999, for example, Danish Prime acquired frozen sandwich maker Iwans Dybfrost.

2001

A new phase in that development was accomplished in 2001, when Danish Crown reached an agreement to merge with rival cooperative Steff-Houlberg.

2003

The company acquired Hygrade Foods Ltd. in 2003 in the United Kingdom.

2004

The acquisition of Flagship Foods in 2004 represented a major step toward Tulip’s goal of becoming a dominant player in the U.K. meats market.

2007

In 2007, the company also launched a revamped line of high-end rashers, as well as a number of limited edition products, featuring different flavors and curing methods.

2012

In January 2012, Saugatuck Capital Company acquired Tulip's facilities in Milwaukee and Niagara Falls.

In 2017 Richardson Molding was purchased by Owner Resource Group of Austin, TX, that included facilities in Columbus, IN, and Philadelphia, MS, with an engineering office in Indianapolis, IN.

In March of 2019, Richardson Molding, LLC (“Richardson”) and Tulip Molded Plastics Corporation (“Tulip”) announced the merger of these two highly regarded plastic injection molding companies.
