Turtle Creek Golf Club was built in 1971 and was designed by Robert Renaud, a golf course architect who worked throughout the Southeast and particularly in Tennessee.

Mike Roche, a 1971 graduate of Palm Beach Gardens High School, was the project manager.

In 1971, the founders sold the course and club to the membership, making it certain that the club would stay private and not fall into the control of property developers.

Turtle Creek #1 Association, Inc. was incorporated in 1971 as a not-for-profit corporation.

In 2008, the four Turtle Creek Associations formed the Turtle Creek Master Property Owner’s Association.

2016

Under the planned 2016 lengthening and modernization of the course, directed by up and coming architect Kipp Schulties, the experience has been enhanced further for golfers of all levels.

In 2016, the entire course was regrassed, including reshaping the greens, tees, fairways and bunkers, along with a modernization to the Irrigation and drainage system.
