The Industrial Cleaning Operator will operate, maintain, and repair high-pressure water blasting equipment and industrial vacuuming equipment necessary to perform the safe and proper removal, containment, transportation, and disposal of both hazardous and non-hazardous materials within heavy industrial settings. They perform the general labor activities of a Hydroblast Technician, as well as operate water lasting and industrial vacuum equipment.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive, and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary from time to time.
Show commitment to perform all assigned duties safely, at all times.
Meet physical requirement to be able to safely perform all duties of Hydroblast Technicians.
Will be trained to operate industrial vacuum trucks, high-pressure industrial water blasters, and other necessary equipment.
Will identify mechanical problems of assigned equipment and follow up appropriately by performing minor mechanical repair and/or communicating problems to supervisor for speedy repairs.
Will safely and effectively perform decontamination process of assigned equipment as required by project and company policy in order to prevent cross-contamination between equipment and job sites.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Exposed to weather, including extreme temperatures.
Work in atmospheres with potential for exposure to various chemicals that may be hazardous, toxic, or corrosive.
Required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders to heights of up to 250 feet.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
CDL Class A or B required.
Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement preferred.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned.
Ability to work long hours, weekends, and holidays.

Faculty and Curriculum Development

Minimum Qualifications
* Earned Ph.D. in engineering, computer science, or a closely related field.
* Experience as a tenured faculty member in an engineering, computer science, or related department with 5+ years of graduate teaching and mentoring experience.
* Experience in a College of Engineering or similar academic unit at a research-intensive institution (R1).
* Strong track record as a research active and accomplished scholar who has developed and sustained an extramurally funded research program and who has used that research program as an environment in which to educate and train both graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.
* Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to foster collaboration across diverse groups.
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* A collaborative leadership style with the ability to build consensus among faculty, staff, and administration.
Preferred Qualifications
* Credentials and a record commensurate with being appointed as a tenured Professor in one of the seven departments in the UA College of Engineering.
* Administrative experience such as university administrative experience in an R1 university College of Engineering at a departmental, research center, or higher level.
* Experience with graduate program development and management at a departmental level or higher.
* Familiarity with national and international trends in graduate education in engineering and computer science, including online learning and degree programs.
