Have current lesson plans and appropriate materials available for use by any substitute, if necessary. Work to stay current in subject and content areas, as well instructional techniques. Directly responsible for supervising the work of the support staff, when appropriate. Utilize non-violent crisis prevention intervention techniques when necessary. Contribute to the development and maintenance of an environment which is non-threatening, safe, restorative, and where the students feel respected, accepted, and a part of the school community. Attend staff meetings as required. Contribute to the school environment using techniques and strategies found within restorative practices guidelines. Other duties assigned by the BHA PRIDE Program Director. QUALIFICATIONS Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate (all certifications accepted) Experience from a previous school or agency is preferred. Experience working with children/students. Utilizes effective written and oral expression. Basic computer literacy.
