    Little Readers Teacher/Tutor Wanted Are you eager to help preschool students succeed in their learning? Gain valuable teaching experience. GradePower Learning Cary is currently seeking part-time teachers for a role in our learning center. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys teaching the ins and outs of reading, fine motor skills, and math, and is passionate about helping children build their skills in this area. Teachers at GradePower Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods. Position Requirements: Little Readers Teachers at GradePower Learning will need to have the availability to work Monday - Thursday from 8:30am - 12:15pm. Students are in the center from 9am - 12pm, so this accounts for preparation time. Your students will love working with you! This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory. We encourage you to apply if you have the majority of the following requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered Teaching certification an asset Good knowledge of preschool curriculum Experience: Some experience teaching/tutoring Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding Ability to multitask and balance working with several students at a time Responsibilities (Position Details): The Little Readers program is an enriched [half-day] reading program for children aged 3-5 that develops the foundational skills needed to learn and excel. The Little Readers teachers use proprietary materials to teach students letter names, sounds, phonics, reading, comprehension, vocabulary, writing, and fine motor skills. You will work directly with our younger students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities: Teaching up to 5 students at different levels (not simultaneously) Teaching in-person Following the GradePower Learning methodologies and philosophies Filling in post-lesson notes Completing daily student communication updates Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times Smiles, High-Fives & Happy Students: In this position, you will play a key role in helping students develop their self-confidence and self-esteem.
