Purpose Statement: The major responsibility will be to conduct tutoring sessions with small groups of students using pre-defined lesson plans. Responsibilities: Provide a safe, caring and enriching environment for groups of children participating in an in-school and/or afterschool program. Assist with supervision and engagement of students in youth development and activities. Essential Job Duties:
As assigned, be responsible for assisting the Site Lead or other program personnel with the supervision, safety and grouping of students at all times, including arrival and departure procedures and taking attendance.
Keep a consistent headcount of all students present and immediately communicate any changes with all other staff.
Work with the Site Lead to facilitate established plan for appropriate activities during tutoring programming
Conduct group tutoring sessions with students using pre-defined curriculum
Submit session Sign-In Sheets to the Program Lead as designated by program policy
Communicate and interact with students in an age and developmentally appropriate way.
Assess student's continual progress from week to week in the program.
Collect 3 work samples of your student sessions per week of tutoring.
Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position.

Department Summary
The UNT Dallas Learning Commons offers tutorial assistance in writing and reading to students who need supplemental academic support.
Position Overview
This position serves as an important team member in the Learning Commons who primarily serves students in gateway English courses with basic writing skills. He/she works under the supervision of the Director and works closely with the Learning Commons team to tutor students on a daily basis. This person will serve as an Embedded Tutor for the freshman composition course and will serve students both inside the classroom and in traditional tutoring sessions outside of class. Tutoring sessions and group study sessions occur as both face-to-face and online consultations. This person also develops resources, markets our services to students and faculty, performs some clerical work, and assists the administrative staff with other special projects. We are looking for someone who not only excels at providing support for at-risk students but will also increase student usage from these students through building relationships with faculty and engaging students.

Math Tutors needed for Student Success Tutoring labs and College Preparatory courses on the Corinth campus. All levels needed, from College Preparatory (Beginning Algebra) through Statistics and Algebra. This is a part-time position with no more than 19 hours a week.
