The ideal candidate enjoys working with youth and delivering exciting and engaging programming. They are a team player and self-starter with a high degree of independence, flexibility, self-motivation and creativity. The candidate will be able to assist members with extra help in several subjects. This opportunity is available at all grade levels, K-12.
This is a part time position, up to 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday. This is a year round position with the opportunity for as many as 40 hours per week over the summer.

Qualified Candidates will have:
A BA/BS in an education related field is required. A minimum of one year experience tutoring children in a group setting. Enthusiasm and patience for working with children and passion about education, health, character development and leadership.

Job Description
You will be working with a variety of high school students to help them prepare for their college entrance exams. You will be expected to teach both high-school level academic content as well as test-taking strategies on a 1-to-1 basis. As you track your students' progress, you will see marked improvement in their skills, confidence, motivation, and test performance.
You will need to demonstrate a high level of competence on a section of either the ACT or SAT to be able to instruct the subject (per Requirements). Each test takes about 3 hours, and can be taken free of charge in-center as part of the application process. Interviews will be set up following the validation of your results.
We are open every day except Friday, and candidates must offer 10 hours of availability within the following times: Monday through Thursday 3:30 pm to 9:30 pm, Saturdays 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, and Sundays 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.Our after-school and summer hours adapt to your schedule. Since no preparation is needed beforehand, it's an ideal after-school, evening, and weekend job.
The hiring wage for this position is $18-$20 per hour. The pay offered will partially depend on your weekly availability and the number of sections you are able to instruct.
Training is fully paid and involves instruction with a center manager and shadowing other tutors.
