About the Role
As a Infant Teacher at Merryhill School, you'll be the heart of the classroom-guiding our youngest learners through some of their most important developmental milestones. - Progress Monitoring: Track and document behavioral data consistently, including incidents, triggers, responses, and outcomes. Use this data to inform adjustments to BIPs and support team decision-making.
- Team Communication: Partner with special education staff, behavior analysts, and families to maintain a unified approach to student support. Share observations and collaborate on strategies to ensure consistency across environments.
- Personal Care: Support students with daily routines such as toileting, feeding, or mobility.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
- High School Diploma

Position Overview:
The Herbst Learning Center (HLC) provides a space dedicated to learning support for all students. One component of this support is our onsite tutoring program. An HLC tutor provides 1:1 tutoring to Drew students from 9th to 12th grade during the school day. Tutors are integrated in our school culture and are full members of our community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead 1:1 tutoring sessions with students within your content area of expertise
Prepare for student sessions by using our internal learning management system and reviewing assignments/student progress

Content Area Expertise
Expertise in a particular content area is needed. We are currently staffing for:
Humanities: support of reading comprehension and the writing process in both English and History.
Math: Math 1 (primarily Algebra with some Geometry), Math 2 (primarily Geometry with some Algebra) and Math 3 (Algebra 2 Trigonometry), Prepcalculus, Calculus, and Statistics. Ability to support Chemistry and Physics is a plus.

Scheduling Availability

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a hybrid remote position and will be required to work at the campus in Richmond, CA in a General Office Setting, Laboratory setting, Indoors Temperature Controlled.
Essential workforce training may be up to 40 hours per week on site in Richmond, CA
Must have functioning internet access at remote location. There is no reimbursement for internet access.

ABOUT STUDY SMART TUTORS: Study Smart Tutors is a college and career access organization that collaborates with partners to promote educational equity, access, and success by providing a diverse range of tools for students, families, and educators. Subjects to be taught: All Subjects, Credit Recovery, ELD, ELA, Math
Grades: 9th - 12th Grade
Provide tutoring support to small and large groups of students.
Tutors will have access to information about class assignments
Adapt to new materials and teaching strategies
Maintain consistent communication with Study Smart Tutors staff
Partner with Study Smart Tutor's Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies to all students
QUALIFICATIONS:
MUST hold a completed 4-year degree
Bilingual (Spanish) Preferred
Experience with continuation schools preferred
Teaching or tutoring experience is strongly desired
In-person availability is required
Availability: Mondays and Fridays from 12 PM to 3 PM PST
Complete and pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting based on location.
