The primary function of this role is to support the Quality Management System with development and implementation of quality procedures, processes, metrics, audits, and training to improve project quality by recommending correct construction methods to subcontractors and company personnel prior to installation and during installation; identify substandard work; and remedy corrective action during construction. The person in this role will have extensive travel and ensure that all products and services meet requirements through being an integral part of the construction process by means of coaching, educating, and mentoring.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for promoting a safe working environment and setting an example for field personnel.
Conducts periodic Safety Observations and report findings to Site Safety Staff
Develop a good working relationship with project team (management and field).
Develop a good working relationship with job inspectors/owners.
Assist/direct project team in proper storage requirement procedures for all onsite materials.
Assist/direct project team in proper maintenance requirements for all onsite equipment.
Assist/conduct pre-pour conferences/meeting with site teams and clients.
Assist/direct setup and success of field and shop welding activities.
Assist/direct project team in the collection, tracking and filing the required data to ensure compliance with governing specifications/codes.
Create turnover packages.

Become a SME related to Division 3 specifications.
When specifications are not met, work with the project team and owner to develop a solution.
Conduct random audits, as specified by the Corporate Office, for compliance and adherence to BEC's Quality Program. Utilize the data collected from these audits to assist field operations in determining appropriate improvements.
Assist Corporate Quality Manager in the development and revision of BEC's Quality Program
Conduct source inspections of vendors and subcontractors
Ensure vendors and subcontractors are in compliance with project specifications.
Assist with bid documents and provide recommendations to estimating and project team that comply with BEC's Program, client requirements, manufactures recommends and applicable Code.
Responsible for educating project team.
Inspect and document welding activities.
Witness and document testing activities
Example - 3rd party testing, NDE
Complete daily and monthly reports.
Submit monthly reports NLT the last working day of the month.
Complete Non-Conformance Reports (NCR's) as required and assist team with Quality Short creation.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or Industrial Technology - preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Previous experience working with project teams, subcontractors, and owners/clients.
Must be able to interpret construction documents.
Previous experience researching corrective options and ability to make recommendations.
NACE, API, ACI, ASME, ASNT and other certification - preferred

The Specifics of the Role
Coordinate, document, and track preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections.
Chair, plan and schedule the weekly QC meetings with the superintendent and provide written reports as described Provide daily QC reports that reinforce activities that are being constructed in conformance with each specific project's established standard.
Collaborate with the project team to develop and establish the Quality Program.
Provide ongoing status updates to executive management with recommendations for dealing with substandard performance and overall progress on quality goals.
Manage and support respective quality teams in implementing the quality program.
Identify the appropriate standards and procedure to be used for a specific task.
Communication to the Enterprise regarding best practices, lessons learned, recent events and training opportunities.
Drive implementation of the Quality Program on projects, focusing on core programs including Site Specific Quality Plans, policies, and procedures on project through proactive planning, training, support and sharing lessons learned.
Manage verification and documentation is being done for all materials received for the project are in conformance with the approved submittal, are handled and stored appropriately and are acceptable for use in the project.
Be involved with pre-construction meetings with new and existing subcontractors and the superintendent prior to the start of each new phase of the work to discuss issues that affect quality.
Track construction deficiencies and ensure timely implementation of, and verify, all approved corrective actions.
Help coordinate and document the testing and commissioning of building systems, review results, and submit.
Assist project team to ensure subcontractor compliance to Project Site Specific Safety Plan and perform safety inspections and audits as required by Company practices.
Skilled at maintaining and documenting conformance to developed quality plan.
Able to monitor/manage deficiencies to quality plan and work to completion.
Understands and monitors testing and inspection process. Maintains a positive relationship with those agencies.
Able to identify the accuracy of subcontractor work.
Understand inspection requirements by city, county, and state to receive TCO & CO.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Construction Management, or related degree, or relevant work experience considered in lieu of education.
5-15 years of progressive experience in construction, demonstrating increasing responsibility and expertise over time.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to walk a job site and climb ladders.

Position Description
Job Summary:
The Quality Control Laboratory Supervisor supports the PARCO leadership, provides technical oversight, and oversees the quality assurance functions of an AASHTO-accredited liquid asphalt laboratory. This role helps ensure that all testing, personnel, equipment, and reporting meet the required standards of accuracy, safety, and compliance with AASHTO R 18, ASTM, and DOT specifications. The QC Lab Supervisor assists in maintaining the laboratory's accreditation status, provides support to internal customers and external agencies, and contributes to continuous improvement efforts that enhance testing efficiency, reliability, and technical quality.
Essential Functions:
Obligated. Support the laboratory quality system by maintaining required documentation and help ensure daily testing is performed accurately according to AASHTO and ASTM standards to maintain valid and reliable results with AASHTO R 18 requirements.
Maintain sample and data traceability through LIMS or related systems to support consistent documentation and audit requirements.
Measurement. Assist with accreditation audits and proficiency testing activities by gathering records, coordinating workflows, and helping address findings.
Coordinate routine calibration and maintenance of instruments to keep equipment functioning properly and prevent testing errors.

Responsible for the development and growth of the individuals in the Quality Department.

Qualifications
Journeyman electrician with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a supervisor.
In-depth knowledge of construction quality standards, codes, regulations, and best practices.
Strong understanding of quality management principles and methodologies, such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or Lean Construction.
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing quality management systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Exceptional communication and people skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Working in line with Cupertino's core values, the person in this role will work closely with manufacturing on first piece, in-process, and final inspection. Will monitor supply base and in-house processes for product conformance. Will issue, track, and verify corrective actions requested from internal or customer, and issued to our supply base.
The role involves developing an Equipment Log using various forms, one-lines, drawings, BOMs, etc., and identifying OFCI (Owner Furnished Contractor Installed) equipment to ensure its proper documentation. Responsibilities include tracking the receipt of proper OFCI, maintaining a tracking document, and coordinating with Materials, Quality, Production, and Project Management groups upon receipt. You will act as a liaison to the project management group to ensure clients are informed about what has and hasn't been received, prepare receiving reports, and coordinate with the NETA testing group to prioritize their testing sequence. Additionally, the position involves completing clients' prescribed notification systems such as Procore, ACC, BIM, etc., tracking equipment through the assembly process to ensure proper usage, and ensuring that equipment will work in the process as designed (e.g., stub-ups, openings). A key expectation is to be a team player and professionally vocal as issues arise.

QC Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a project-specific quality control program, executing its performance according to contract requirements, completing administrative documentation on time, and cultivating customer satisfaction with the client, all in alignment with Erickson-Halls Mission, Vision, and Values.
General Summary
This position is responsible for implementing and managing the Quality Control (QC) program. The QC Manager ensures that all construction operations, both onsite and offsite, meet quality standards and contract-specific requirements through rigorous inspections, testing, and documentation. This role oversees all aspects of quality management. Inspection of Construction, project drawings & specifications, and serves as the primary liaison for customers and regulatory agencies regarding quality-related matters.
Essential Job Accountabilities
Quality Control Program Management
Establish and maintain an effective Quality Control (QC) system to ensure contract compliance using the client-required software (QCS/RMS, eCMS, etc.).
Implement and manage the three phases of control (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-up).
Conduct specification reviews,
Review/submit submittals as necessary and coordinate with 3rd party submittal reviewers, and maintain a submittal register for the project.
Ensure all required testing is completed, review test reports and maintain a testing log for the project
Assist with drafting Requests for Information (RFIs) and maintain a RFI Log.
Complete a Quality Control Daily Report for each day of work.
Personnel & Team Management
Manage and support all QC personnel, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and professional development to ensure a highly competent and engaged workforce.
Ensure all members of the QC team are fluent in English for clear communication and compliance.
Project Oversight & Compliance
Maintain a physical presence at the work site at all times.
Attend and lead Coordination and Mutual Understanding Meetings to align QC requirements with project execution.
Ensure compliance with safety, hazard identification, and sustainability standards in accordance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA.
Technical & Regulatory Support
Provide technical support for proposals, construction, estimating, and materials during pre-bid, construction, and post-construction phases.
Conduct inspections, audits, and material testing to ensure all materials, workmanship, and construction methods meet contractual and regulatory standards.
Develop and maintain QC certifications and documentation, including inspection records, test results, quality audits, and compliance reports.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Establish and maintain relationships with government agencies, subcontractors, testing companies, and technical staff to facilitate smooth coordination.
Provide internal and external technical training on materials production and construction processes to improve overall project quality.
Develop and implement quality control procedures for construction projects.
Conduct regular inspections on construction sites to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
Analyze research data collection methods to improve quality assurance processes.
Oversee the quality inspection of materials and workmanship throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with project managers and contractors to address any quality-related issues promptly.
Prepare detailed reports on quality inspection findings and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
Train and mentor staff on quality control standards and best practices.
Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to construction quality management.
Education/Certification
High school diploma required; Bachelors degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of construction quality control experience for candidates with a Bachelors degree OR 10 years of construction experience, including 5 years in QC roles for candidates without a degree.
Must have completed the Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors course. If certification is not current, the candidate must complete the course within 90 days of hire.
Knowledge of EM 385-1-1, OSHA safety regulations.
Work Experience
Minimum 5 - 10 years of experience in construction quality control for those with a relevant degree, or 10 years of construction experience with at least 5 years in QC roles for those without a degree.
Experience in managing QC teams, subcontractors, and large-scale construction projects.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Strong leadership and team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of construction materials, industry standards, and quality control procedures.
Proficiency in document control, construction auditing, and quality management systems.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities in high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with operations to schedule and perform quality inspections and tests to maintain production goals.
Prepare inspection/test reports and maintain the quality files related to area of responsibility.
Verify inspection and test compliance with applicable contract documents, codes, and standards.
Correctly interpret and utilize codes and industry standards to determine compliance of the work.
Assist the project team with completion of required test documentation.
Organize quality documents and store per the company and project document management procedures.
Identify, report, and correct nonconforming work in accordance with the company quality standards and the Project Quality Plan.
Perform receiving inspection of permanent materials and plant equipment for project requirements as needed.
Be involved in and provide quality input to task planning meetings.
