Job Summary:
The ELD Itinerant teacher, acting as the district teacher for English Language Learners (ELLs) will provide English vocabulary, grammar, and conversation instruction to identified ELLs. The ELD Itinerant teacher will be responsible for the implementation of the English Language Proficiency Standards, the Discrete Skills Inventory and district curriculum. The ELD Itinerant teacher reports directly to site principal and the ELAD department.
Candidates must complete an on-line application which requires appropriate Arizona certification, valid IVP Arizona fingerprint clearance card, evidence of highly qualified status, three letters of recommendation, and transcript of credits.

Title: Tutor Department: Operations Reports To: Education Coordinator FLSA Designation: Non-exempt
The Tutor at Horizon Recovery is responsible for ensuring the academic continuity and support of clients during behavioral health treatment. This role plays a vital part in integrating academic responsibilities into the daily structure of treatment programming while ensuring appropriate use of technology, client engagement, and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). The ideal candidate is organized, observant, tech-savvy, and experienced in supporting adolescents with complex academic and behavioral profiles.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clients with academic and technical support while enrolled, including troubleshooting login issues, accessing curriculum, and understanding assignments.
Monitor student behavior and engagement during academic periods, encouraging participation and focus.
Immediately report any concerning behavior, safety issues, or policy violations to the House Supervisor or designated manager.
Observe student use of electronic devices to prevent inappropriate internet or platform access; report any technical vulnerabilities or access concerns.
Track academic progress, attendance, and completion status, and maintain updated education files.
Document education-related activities, observations, and support provided in the client's EMR in accordance with Horizon policies.
Attend interdisciplinary team meetings to report on client academic participation and collaborate on holistic support strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Behavioral Health, or related field.
2+ years of experience in academic coordination or student support services, preferably in a behavioral health, residential, or special education environment.
Familiarity with virtual learning platforms (e.g., Edgenuity, Odysseyware, Connections Academy) and basic IT troubleshooting.
Experience supporting adolescents with behavioral, educational, or emotional challenges.
Understanding of Arizona credit/graduation requirements and transcript evaluation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and EMR documentation platforms.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
Minimum Requirements:
Associates Level Education or greater.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Possess or be eligible to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (Arizona).
Physical Demands:
Must be able to walk, bend, stand, climb stairs, observe student computer use, speak English, hear, use a telephone, and operate a computer. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
