This is the entry-level production category for hourly employees. · It covers all job tasks associated with the production process that are class 1 ·Examples of class 1 positions are general production employees in departments such as Mega jet, DSI, IF, Cone line and all other processing departments. Experience is not required, but is preferred · Reliable and dependable; will be at work when scheduled to work. Available to work any shift. · Positions involve standing for long periods of time, lifting to 70 lbs., bending, stooping, reaching and grasping. · Environment: cold (40 to 45 degrees), floors are wet. · Must follow all guidelines related to SSOP's, GMP's, PPE's, etc. · Must follow all rules in line with the company handbook, including attendance, break times, etc. · Physical Requirement: · Standing and/or walking during the entire shift. · Requires considerable reaching, lifting, grasping of product while tumbling the product. · Work in wet, cold environment. TheTechnician will monitor and verify that the programs are being performed anddocumented correctly during day-to-day operations. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: · Responsible for the constantmonitoring of all raw materials, production procedures/methods/standards andoverall finished product quality. ·Conduct line monitoring of all production lines in operation; recordingmeasurements and weights. If lines run poor quality, tech will be able to placeproduct on hold and stop line if needed. ·Assist in updating or implementing production and food safety aids such asguidelines, scaling weight charts, HACCP, GMP's, etc. ·Conduct daily plant walk-throughs and audit GMP and food safety compliance. ·Maintain well-organized, detailed and legible records. FoodSafety Production Areas: · Notify Supervision of any repairs or adjustments thatare required. · Understand, observe, andcomply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while inthe Production Areas.· Perform all duties necessary to meet productspecifications, Company, and or Government requirements / standards asprioritized by the Company.· Inform Management of ANY Food Safety or Quality issues or of any processes, which become non-compliant with specifiedrequirements.· Ability to initiate action to prevent theoccurrence of non-conformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of theproduct, processes, quality system, or safety system.· Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, packaging, qualitysystem, or safety system.· Controls further processing or delivery ofnonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiencyor unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.· Inthe absence of immediate supervisor, will assume necessary operational andadministrative duties.
