    Reports to: Assistant General Manager (AGM)

    GENERAL: The Amenities Department is responsible for creating an enjoyable recreational environment as an added benefit of ownership in the resort. The purpose of this position is to provide supervision of full-time and part-time Cashier/Pool Attendants and Pool Maintenance employee in maintaining all CRRA pools and related equipment. The employee assists the AGM in developing and evaluating organizational objectives and ensuring recreation facilities are maintained in a clean and safe manner.

    DEFINITION: Under the general direction of the AGM, you are responsible for the supervision of Cashier/Pool Attendants in carrying out their duties efficiently and effectively. This includes planning, scheduling and coordination of personnel, and evaluation of personnel performance. The employee is responsible for maintaining all CRRA pools and related equipment (Recreation Center, Riverside Pool and Foxhound Pool), and identifying maintenance/repair needs at pools, recreation center and miniature golf course. The employee is also responsible for greeting property owners and guests; verifying customer authorization to use the facility; selling merchandise, beverages and food items; cleaning the recreational facility.

    EQUIPMENT/JOB LOCATION: The Pool Supervisor will be required to work outside in all kinds of weather. Also operates small gas-powered equipment. Regularly uses a computer and other common office supplies and equipment. Employee may operate pickup trucks on CRRA property and public roads when required. Operate vacuum cleaners, carpet steam cleaners and the pool blaster.

    WORK HOURS/WORK WEEK: The work week does not normally exceed 40 hours per week. The workdays and shift hours fluctuate depending on the needs of the operation. The workday will include a one-hour lunch break. The workweek may be adjusted as required at the discretion of the AGM to include work on holidays and/ or weekends in lieu of normally scheduled workdays. The Employee may be required to respond to emergency situations at pools and recreational facilities during off-duty hours.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    SUPERVISORY DUTIES: Supervises, motivates, and evaluates personnel to help: (1) achieve their individual work-related goals; (2) collectively achieve the department ‘s mission; and (3) lead to employee's growth and accountability for their actions within the workplace. Assists the AGM with recruiting, selecting, and retaining qualified personnel.

    Trains new employees on providing excellent customer service; basic pool maintenance (vacuuming and brushing pools, cleaning skimmers, checking pool chemicals); fee collection policies and procedures; the identification and reporting of any problems with property owners, guests or staff; incident reporting; and safety and fire prevention procedures.

    Investigates job related accidents and completes appropriate reports for the AGM.

    Reassigns or calls in additional employees as needed to ensure all pools are open at posted times. If unable to fill the position, performs Cashier/Pool Attendant's duties to keep pools and recreation center open at posted times.

    Maintains a working environment conducive to positive morale, individual styles, quality customer service, and teamwork.

    Reviews time sheets weekly and checks times against work schedules. Reviews time log and makes any necessary adjustments. If necessary, discusses undocumented discrepancies with the employee. Informs the AGM of any adjustments to his/her own timesheet. Submits completed payroll form to the AGM by 10:00 a.m. Monday morning.

    Daily, the Supervisor verifies the Pool Maintenance/Attendant personnel have done the following:

    + Recreation Center: Employee mops floors in the restrooms, kitchen, lobby and game room; vacuums weight room and sterilized weight equipment; cleans food preparation area popcorn machine, microwave and refrigerator; wipes down chairs and lounges; check and clean skimmers as needed; restrooms are cleaned at the start of each shift and as needed. Complete other duties outlined in the AM and PM schedule located at the Rec. Center. Perform any additional duties as assigned by the AGM.

    + Riverside Pool: Employee mops floor in the lobby, kitchen and game room. Restrooms are cleaned during each shift and as needed throughout the day. Clean counters in kitchen area. Sweep pool area and wipe down chairs and lounges. Check and clean skimmers as needed. Empty garbage and replace bags. Perform any additional duties as assigned by the AGM.

    + Foxhound Pool: Employee sweeps pool areas and wipes down chairs and lounges. Check and clean skimmers as needed. Clean bathrooms. Keep pavilion area clean. Perform any additional duties as assigned by the AGM.

    Trash or debris in the facility and around pool areas is picked up and disposed of in the proper container as needed during employee's shift. Items left in the pool are removed. Personal items left by property owners and/or guest are secured. Employee notifies AGM when valuable items are found.

    Employee maintains stock of janitorial supplies. Employee maintains an accurate inventory and informs supervisor when stock needs to be replenished.

    Employee ensures the recreation facility is locked and secure prior to departure. Performs any additional duties as assigned by the AGM.

    Performs daily safety inspections of all pool areas and identifies maintenance and repairs as needed. Submits work orders for necessary repairs/maintenance for work not within the scope of this position for Director's signature.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Employee must have a high school diploma or equivalent and 1.5 years experience in pool maintenance or a combination of education, experience, and training that provided the required knowledges, skills and abilities to perform the job. Prior supervisory experience is desired.

    KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES NEEDED:

    + Must be certified as a CPT (Certified Pool Technician) or willing to work towards obtaining certification immediately upon hire.

    + General knowledge of plumbing and electric motors.

    + Thorough knowledge of the pools and pool maintenance and repair.
