Operate yard truck to pull, transport, load, or empty and loaded containers using standard equipment. Ensure that pallets are stretch wrapped properly before loading or storing. Compare pallet ID label number and Warehouse receipt to make sure that there are no discrepancies before storing or loading pallet to/from warehouse and conveyance equipment. Load container and trailers in a manner to maintain the integrity of the cargo free of damage while ar the same time maximizing the space of the equipment. Perform all functions in accordance with operation and safety guidelines. Perform routine inspection on assigned forklift before operating or making sure it is safe to operate and manually complete the forklift maintenance checklist refer defects or repairs to mechanic personnel. Perform pre-shift mechanical inspection of assigned heavy equipment and immediately report any deficiencies to Mechanic Shop Supervisor. Maintain a clean and organized work area, free of debris or safety hazards and awareness of surroundings (i.e., vehicles, people checking equipment, etc.) at all times. Secondary Seek out sufficient warehouse space by working with management to efficiently store product in the warehouse. Removes empty skids or pallets and stacks in designated area for future usage.
