Hours for this position: 3rd shift 10:30 to 7:30 rotating schedule 3 day weekend every 5 weeks. You will earn an extra $2.75 per hour for working the specified schedule.
The starting salary ranges from $26.20 to $37.45 per hour, depending on the skills and experience as assessed by the hiring manager. There is also a chance to elevate your pay by advancing to the next skill level through testing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Include, but are not limited to the following)
Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and team.
Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.
Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.
Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment.
Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.
Minimize downtime due to equipment failure.
Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Must be able and willing to furnish your own tools.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience: Minimum 2 years of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of and industrial maintenance training program. (Can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 2 years).
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills necessary for logging information, processing daily work orders, and completing required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Communication Skills: Effective communication and basic math skills required.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently.
Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.
Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop.
Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling.
Frequent overhead work.
Temperatures inside the plant may vary from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outside work may also be needed.
Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements.
Read and understand blueprints, manuals and work orders.

* Responsible for managing maintenance or project contractors while they are onsite to include human safety, food safety, and plant GMP requirements.
* Lead department team members to ensure personal safety, quality, delivery, and cost, are continuously being improved to achieve company objectives. Engage and develop the asset care teams to deliver expected levels of reliability. As part of the greater leadership team, be an active member who contributes to the MFI culture's advancement. * Assists with planning and cost estimates for annual and longer-term capital and operating budgets to deliver to business plan. Investigate the condition of buildings, equipment, and grounds, and recommend improvements in the facilities to ensure that business needs will be met.
* Utilize MFI approved CMMS to manage, document, and support maintenance reporting and decision making.
* Responsible for all maintenance department metrics. Ability to balance maintenance (tactical and strategic) initiatives that align with plant business strategies.
* Adhere to established MFI standards for assessing the quality of work performed by employees and contractors.

* Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field is preferred. Can also have an associate's degree, two-year technical certificate, and / or a relevant combination of experience which demonstrates technical and leadership aptitude. Demonstrated leadership experience.
* Minimum of 5 years of proven leadership or supervisory experience in industrial operations, maintenance, or utilities operations is preferred
* Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification preferred.
* Understanding of PLC and equipment automation preferred.
* Trained and competent in MFI MTL1, MTL2, & MTL3 skills preferred
* Experience in industrial project management is preferred
* Prior experience in SAP preferred
* Ability to interact with all levels of the organization

This position is responsible for the management, training, scheduling and development of maintenance personnel providing support to the Maintenance areas at the West Jefferson, OH facility. This recently constructed facility is responsible for producing Premier Protein drinks.

SUMMARY:
The MaintenanceSupervisor is accountable for leading, directing, and supervising plant reliability and maintenance personnel. The MaintenanceSupervisor is responsible for keeping the equipment and facilities in optimum operating condition while on shift. The MaintenanceSupervisor will be expected to run a professional quality maintenance team by exhibiting strong leadership abilities, setting expectations, and ensuring consistent communication with personnel. This position provides both Maintenance and Reliability services within the plant, championing executional excellence and asset health improvement efforts. The MaintenanceSupervisor will ensure results while partnering with the MFI ARM team, plant maintenance team personnel, plant operational team, and all other plant support teams members for success. This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability. This role must be available to work scheduled work times, weekends, and holidays, as necessary.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead and supervise department team members to ensure personal safety, quality, delivery, and cost, are continuously being improved to achieve company objectives. Engage and develop the asset care team members to deliver expected levels of reliability. As part of the greater maintenance leadership team, be an active member who contributes to the MFI culture's advancement. Direct responsibility for the maintenance team members and their performance.
* Responsible for supervising maintenance or project contractors while onsite to include human safety, food safety, and plant GMP requirements.
* Responsible for all maintenance team metrics. Ability to balance maintenance (tactical and strategic) initiatives that align with plant business strategies while on shift.
* Assists with planning and cost estimates for annual and longer-term capital and operating budgets to deliver to business plan. Investigate the condition of buildings, equipment, and grounds, and recommend improvements in the facilities to ensure that business needs are met.
* Utilize MFI approved CMMS to manage, document, and support maintenance reporting and decision making. This will be accomplished through the guidance of MFI ARM standards.
* Keeps accurate and up-to-date records (i.e., SAP data, Kronos, KPI's, etc..).
* Works with planning and scheduling to utilize team personnel in a cost-effective manner.
* Adhere to established MFI standards for assessing the quality of work performed by employees and contractors.
* Supervise the completion of work through review of reports and frequent site inspections.
* Recognizes and takes steps to resolve operating problems to minimize their impact on the business.
* Provides input for root cause analysis (RCA) and reliability centered maintenance (RCM) to create an environment of continuous asset reliability improvement. Will champion the plant's RCM and RCA process.
* Create and foster a team environment that demonstrates genuine concern for personal and professional development of all employees by providing team members opportunity for development to their full potential through the MFI ARMED program.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field is preferred. Can also have an associate's degree, two-year technical certificate, and / or a relevant combination of experience which demonstrates technical and leadership aptitude. Demonstrated leadership experience.
* Minimum of 5 years of proven leadership or supervisory experience in industrial operations or maintenance or utilities operations is preferred
* Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification preferred.
* Understanding of PLC and equipment automation preferred.
* Trained and competent in MFI MTL1, MTL2, & MTL3 skills preferred
* Prior experience in SAP preferred
* Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with superb time management skills
* Ability to lead teams and hold team members accountable, while successfully achieving results through internal and external resources

A Typical Work Day May Include
Completing preventative, predictive, reactive, and precision industrial maintenance throughout the facility
Documenting all completed work and the conditions found, utilizing maintenance computer software as necessary
Installing, maintaining, testing, evaluating, and repairing various components and systems including conveyors, fans, pumps, belt and chain drives, and process machinery
Operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial work platforms
Interacting on a regular basis with peers and management
Operating standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools, pneumatic tools, electric tools, as well as lifting/rigging equipment
Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations(including food safety policies and procedures)
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Other duties as assigned
What You Will Need
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator
Basic computer skills
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Ability to work in confined spaces
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
What Will Put You Ahead
Experience with precision maintenance
A minimum of one year of industrial maintenance experience
Experience with welding, fabrication, and pipe fitting
Experience with pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems
High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience

* Working with and participation in implementing PSM including HazWhoper response team.
* Sustain training for HazWhoper response.
* Preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, & repair of plant systems:
* Monitor and document a variety of systems including wastewater, boilers, condensers.
* Troubleshoot to identify defects, create a plan to eliminate identified defects.
* Actively support the Conagra Performance System (CPS) process: 5S, CIL, Centerline, BDA, Safety, QA, etc.
* Adjust manual controls or override automatic controls to bring equipment into recommended or prescribed operating ranges, switch to backup equipment or systems, or to shutdown equipment.
* Inspect equipment at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment, or lubrication.
* Maintain equipment via adjustments, lubrication, repairs, managing controls, etc.
* Safety checks of the grounds and facility
* Requisition spare parts, materials, and supplies as required.
* Record maintenance and operations activities.
* Working knowledge of HVAC, air intakes, exhaust fans is a plus.
* Support 5S in the Maintenance Department, create and Execute a Personal Action Plan
* Support Break Down Elimination DMS
* Other duties as assigned.
* Work overtime as required to achieve production, sanitation, and maintenance schedules.
* Provide support for the PM Pillar and Autonomous maintenance functions of CPS and other duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager(s).

Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

Qualifications
Must have a minimum of two (2) years of mechanical work experience documented in the work history section of the application or a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program. Can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 2 years.
This facility accepts rehires only after 90 days, and having worked less than 3 times.

Must be willing to use basic hand tools
The role requires basic mechanical or maintenance skills knowledge in areas of welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics & plumbing, welding.
