Cadets can participate in 23 intercollegiate sports, and can apply to spend the first semester of their second year at another U.S. Service Academy. Cadets experience a different kind of campus life. Summer training, however, is geared toward dynamic programs. Summer training consists of sailing, missions aboard ships, Navy diving, damage control, law enforcement, and basic weapons qualifications. Cadets are offered support services to help cope with the new lifestyle. Health services, personal counseling, and religious programs are available to students who wish to use them. United States Coast Guard Academy provides stellar academic programs and empowering recreational activities for the young men and women of the United States.
