* Actively manage assigned projects and key clients.
* Assume responsibility for meeting budget for assigned projects.
* Play an active role in the maintenance of existing clients and the development of new client relationships, including positioning activities related to current and new projects.
* Provide consultation on solids and energy projects, guide decision-making, and solve problems.
* Develop detailed design documents for solids and energy projects in conformance with company design service's standards and procedures.
* Participate in improving company resources, tools and Standards to improve design delivery and efficiency for solids and energy projects.
* Prepare and make presentations to clients for project technical meetings.
* Ensure the quality of work products within the scope, budget and schedule of the project.
* Support the development of more junior staff through mentorship on projects.
Desired Skills and Experience:
* S. degree in Civil, Chemical, Sanitary, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering required; MS degree preferred.
* Minimum 8 years of experience in municipal engineering and consulting
* Professional Engineer (PE) registration in California

* Proficiency with mass and energy balances.

Job Summary:

As the selected candidate, the Remediation Engineer specializes in the clean-up of petroleum hydrocarbons and related contaminants of concern. The senior-level subject matter expert will assess third-party, proposed remediation and corrective action plans for leaking underground storage tanks; and, conduct technical evaluations of the design, implementation, and operation of remediation systems to ensure efficacy and regulatory compliance. Day-to-day activities include reviewing reports, proposals, and documentation of work performed. You will be mentoring junior staff and developing standard procedures that drive petroleum-based clean-up efforts at UST facilities.
This position is available for remote work on a full-time basis within Arizona (including virtual office arrangements).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
● Expertise in the design, planning, permitting; testing; implementation; and performance monitoring and assessment of multiple remedial technologies for petroleum hydrocarbon and related chemicals in soil, groundwater, and light non-aqueous phase liquids (LNAPL), including: air sparge & soil vapor extraction (AS/SVE), multi-phase extraction (MPE), pump & treat, bioremediation and in situ chemical oxidation (ISCO)
● Expertise in the development of Conceptual Site Models (CSMs) and remedial objectives for soils, groundwater, and LNAPL
● Proficiency in the review and analysis of technical appropriateness, feasibility, and cost estimation for: (i) bench and pilot-scale testing plans; and (ii) comparison of multiple technologies for full-scale implementation, based on site-specific conditions and adherence to nationally-recognized standards & practices
● Proficiency in the development and review of remedial performance monitoring plans and results for multiple remedial technologies, including identification of transition performance criteria
● Experience in the operation & maintenance and optimization of injection and extraction remediation systems
● Experience in the characterization of LNAPL bodies for extent, composition, and stability using multiple technologies and recognized approaches
● Knowledge of Arizona state and federal underground storage tank regulations
Selective Preference(s):
● Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering discipline.
● Twelve (12) or more years of remediation engineering experience. Master Degree in an engineering discipline may substitute for two years of experience.
● Professional Engineering certification through the Arizona Board of Technical Registration or an equivalent organization in a reciprocal jurisdiction is required.

PRIMARY BUILDING ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform building and systems inspections, making necessary modifications to building systems

Basic technology skills necessary to manage work order applications on mobile phone and learn to operate Building Automation Systems
Some supervisory experience over team members is required
