**Job Summary**
The Health Research and Analytics (HRA) business line is seeking a highly motivated, full-time **Strength and Conditioning Specialist** to join our team in support of our government customer, U.S. Special Operations Command. This position will play a critical role in advancing the Preservation of the Forces and Family (POTFF) program, which is dedicated to optimizing and sustaining the mission readiness, longevity, and performance of Special Operations Forces (SOF). Through integrated and holistic human performance initiatives, POTFF strengthens both the Forces and their families, ensuring comprehensive support for those who serve. As a Strength and Conditioning Specialist, you will contribute to impactful research and analytics that drive evidence-based decision-making and enhance the effectiveness of these vital programs. This position establishes and administers strength and conditioning protocols to optimize the physical performance of SOF personnel, prioritizing safe and effective training and rehabilitation in coordination with the Human Performance (HP) program. The Strength and Conditioning Specialist designs, implements, evaluates, and documents individualized physical training programs, provides expert instruction on exercise techniques and injury prevention, and ensures all personnel with new or undiagnosed medical conditions are referred to appropriate medical providers. Additionally, the role supports administrative functions, participates in ongoing staff training and meetings, maintains facility safety and equipment standards, and collects and reports program data in accordance with USSOCOM HQ and POTFF requirements.
**Responsibilities**
+ Establish and administer effective strength and conditioning protocols designed to maximize the physical performance of SOF personnel, with priority on SOF Operators and Direct Combat Support personnel
+ Provide and perform the following services in support of POTFF's HP program for SOF personnel, with priority on SOF Operators and Direct Combat Support personnel:
+ Design, administer, evaluate, and document the effects of physical training protocols under the supervision of the HP program Manager and/or Coordinator
+ Coordinate training programs with HP staff to ensure a safe and expeditious return to training of SOF personnel recovering from injury
+ Design and implement physical training programs for personnel who are TDY/TAD or deployed under the supervision of the HP program Manager and/or Coordinator
+ Demonstrate and provide instruction and guidance on physical training, exercises, movements, and injury avoidance
+ Refer all personnel with a new or undiagnosed medical condition to a medical provider for evaluation and treatment
+ Assist the HP program Manager and/or Coordinator in developing facility standard operating procedures, guidelines, and training protocols including the safe use of strength and conditioning equipment
+ Participate in periodic meetings to review and evaluate physical training programs and identify opportunities for improvement. Responsible for reviewing the information disseminated in meetings occurring outside of regular working hours.
+ Participate in periodic in-service training for members of the HP staff and/or POTFF staff
+ Attend required training in accordance with guiding instructions
+ Perform administrative duties such as maintaining records of utilization, workload, conducting or participating in education programs, and participating in clinical staff quality assurance functions
+ Develop and promulgate training materials as requested and required by the HP program Manager and/or Coordinator
+ Assist with supply inventories and provide input regarding supply needs for the HP program
+ Attend and participate in meetings with other POTFF staff members and medical personnel as requested and/or required
+ Ensure that equipment and facilities are properly organized and utilized, and are in a safe working condition
+ Perform other tasks, within the scope of the SCS position description, as assigned by the HP program Manager and/or Coordinator
+ Collect and report all data as requested by the HP program Manager and/or Coordinator and required by USSOCOM HQ and POTFF staff
+ Utilize computers, software, and technologies as required and requested by the HP program Manager and/or Coordinator and required by USSOCOM HQ and POTFF staff
**Key Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in an accredited exercise science, health science, or physical education-related discipline
+ Current certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or the Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches association (CSCCA)
+ At least five years of demonstrable accumulated experience (continuous and sustained experience preferred) of developing long and short-range planning and coordination of sport/mission-specific performance programs resulting in attributable results with individual athletes and groups of athletes at the levels of NCAA Collegiate, Olympic, professional sports, and/or SOF Operators in the accompanying, respective settings.
+ Current certification in basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to include Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training
+ Physically proficient to demonstrate all prescribed exercises / techniques and to hike over rough terrain and function in austere environments
+ Lift and manipulate loads and weights up to 25 kilograms
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance

This position involves participation in professional meetings, conducting applied research, consulting with multidisciplinary teams, maintaining detailed medical records, possibly supervising trainees, performing case management, and engaging in military-specific training and activities as directed.
**Responsibilities**
+ Function within an operational unit as a Behavioral Health Care Provider
+ Attend and participate in meetings during normal duty hours, professional staff conferences and other appropriate professional activities such as quality improvement meetings, professional staff meetings, commander's staff meetings, and other meetings required by applicable regulations or as directed by the unit Commander of his/her designee
+ Conduct applied research and clinical investigations in clinical/behavioral health/organizational social work
+ Responsible for the application of social work procedures and techniques, including interviewing, behavioral assessment, and evidence-based therapies, in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological and neuropsychological disorders using the following skills: individual, family and group psychotherapy, couples therapy, alcohol and drug treatment evaluations
+ Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders and school districts as required
+ Maintain accurate and current notes in the paper medical records (if created) and electronic medical records of all patients seen and produce reports of evaluation and/or treatment
+ Participate in specific military training/activities, e.g., security clearances, use of the DoD or service specific clinical practice guidelines, pre-post deployment screening, PTSD, and combat stress and others, as directed by the unit Commander or his/her designee
+ Clinically supervise unlicensed providers or trainees
+ May be required to perform some, or all, of the following activities:
+ Participate in and successfully complete required DoD or service required training
+ Contact referred patients to assess treatment adherence
+ Use validated symptom inventories to assess current symptom severity
+ Assess barriers to treatment adherence and help patient problem-solve solutions to barriers
+ Provide patients with education regarding their mental health condition and treatment regimen
+ Maintain patient information in a patient registry
+ Maintain accurate and current notes in the electronic medical records of all patients contacted for review by the managing physician
+ Routinely staff difficult cases with the referring provider, behavioral health consultant and/or psychiatry consultant
+ Perform case management functions
**Key Qualifications**
+ Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) or equivalent (MSSW, MSSA) degree from a graduate school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)
+ At least two years within the past five years in the independent practice of clinical social work in a mental health setting
+ Current, full, active, and unrestricted clinical license to independently practice social work in one of any U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or U.S. Virgin Islands
+ Demonstrate a working knowledge of professional standards and ethics regarding the delivery of clinical social work services
+ Prior experience in brief behavioral interventions
+ Maintain credentialing requirements in good standing at a local MTF

**Responsibilities**
+ Functions as the coordinating technical expert for the Human Performance program in locations or within units/groups where an HP program Manager and/or Coordinator is/are not available

+ Perform the following services POTFF's HP program for SOF personnel, with priority on SOF Operators and Direct Combat Support personnel:
+ Plan, develop and synchronize technical training, guidance, and programmatic and policy recommendations

**Job Summary**
A senior level nuclear engineer with an operational background is needed to develop program policy, procedural, and internal controls documentation in support of implementing microreactor technology (reactors rated below 20 megawatts electric (MWe)). Noting the development and testing of the DoD "Project Pele" demonstration program, the Army is considering follow-on deployment of microreactor technology. This microreactor technology leverages recent advances in designs to provide a transportable electric power system producing between 1-10 MW of electricity for expeditionary support and 24/7 installation power for mission critical loads.
The advanced microreactor program is managed under the DoD Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO). The Assistant Secretary of the Army for Infrastructure, Energy and Environment (ASA IE&E), in partnership with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Office of the Chief of Engineers (OCE), is responsible for the Army Nuclear Power Management Program and is ramping up to meet a wide range of installation, operational, engineering, logistic regulatory certification and permitting requirements for future implementation of microreactor technology in accordance with Army Regulation 50-7 "Army Reactor Program" consistent with recently issued Executive Order (EO) 14304: Deploying Advanced Nuclear Reactor Technologies for National Security.
Program plan documentation preparation requires leveraging and integration of information and knowledge from participating government organizations within DoD, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), and other Federal and State agencies, and Army agencies involved in implementing nuclear energy technology. Nuclear Power Program policy and guidelines documentation spans reactor operational and quality assurance and system management to safety, security, and environmental controls.

**Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for comprehensive and effective coordination, development, and evaluation of programs and services that contribute directly and positively to resiliency of the assigned unit's force and families
+ Organize and oversee peer support networks for their assigned commands
+ Recruit active-duty and family member peer support counselors
+ Ensure participating peer support counselors are vetted and trained according to USSOCOM CPPNC standards
+ Responsible for collecting and reporting data for the purposes of formative and outcome evaluations of peer support programs and other community-based support programs
+ Collect original data and data from secondary sources in support of program assessments, including, focus group and/or unit meetings convened by leadership, POTFF Family Resilience Program evaluation results, trend information from POTFF Psychologist, Chaplains, Ombudsmen, or Family Readiness Group (FRG) staff
+ Support commands at multiple levels and in multiple locations
+ Identify and document program/service needs and evaluation data
+ Develop needs-based programming to service specific demographic groups and geographic locations
+ Maintain an extensive knowledge of DoD resources, such as the Military OneSource, Military Family Life Counselors (MFLC), Personal Financial Counselors (PFC), and Military Crisis Line

Candidates must have a strong background in understanding of hardware and software system design documentation - such as system-level block diagrams, relationship between system/sub-system, assembly/sub-assembly, UML/SYSML flow diagrams, engineering drawings (hardware), software release notes, etc. Candidate must also be a strong communicator with the capability to interact with a multi-faceted team, including federal clients and vendors. Candidates should have strong oral and written communication skills and be capable of working multiple tasks in parallel under tight deadlines. Additionally, candidates should have excellent computer skills including applicable Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint.

TRC is currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer (Solid Waste) to join our Southeast ECC division. The ideal candidate must have 5-10 years of solid waste experience and must have a Professional Engineering License (PE) in Virginia; North Carolina preferred.
The position is based out of one of our Virginia or North Carolina locations.
The position provides opportunities for engineering design including detail preparation, land grading, stormwater calculations, report writing, permit application preparation and construction quality control. Projects include, but not limited to, the design and permitting of landfills, transfer stations, convenience centers, recycling facilities, and composting operations.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include engineering design, team support, and project management on a variety of waste resources engineering projects, with a particular focus on landfill design, landfill gas systems, landfill leachate systems, construction planning and oversite, landfill closure, landfill operations, landfill post closure care, transfer station design, MRF design, and recycling centers.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience:
* Professional Engineer License required; Virginia required within six months, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida are a plus and may be required in the future
* 5-10 years of landfill design experience required
* Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, preferred

**Job Summary**
Battelle's CBRNE Business Line is seeking a Senior Program Manager to manage a science and technology-based program focused on enhancing global biosurviellance, biodetection and biosecurity capabilities. The successful candidate will manage a complex multi-year program, with multiple concurrent technical subtasks that may include training and scientific mentoring of foreign partners. This program will be performed in coordination with diverse international partners and stakeholders. GS-9 $61,111 - $124,443 per year

Grade level eligibility and salaries vary depending upon background, including experience and education, and duty location of the opportunity. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GS-5, GS-7, GS-9, GS-11, and GS-12. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level (without re-applying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in each grade level. Promotions are at the discretion of the agency.

Qualifications:
You qualify for the GS-9 grade level in one of the following ways: experience, education, or a combination of both.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes:
Detaining suspected violators of federal, state, or local laws and/or arresting violators using the proper law enforcement methods.
Enforcing the laws and regulations relating to importing, exporting, and/or international shipping to and from the United States.
Utilizing intelligence techniques and behavior analysis to identify potential threats and perform risk assessments for violations of laws and threats to national security.
Conducting interviews in a law enforcement capacity for the purposes of gaining information from suspected violators of laws to determine the appropriate course of action.
The above experience will be applied in connection with the following: Ability to make rapid, accurate judgments and decisions with respect to the application of the regulations, instructions, and procedures for importing and exporting merchandise to and from the United States; or enforcement and administration of laws relating to the right of persons to enter, reside in or depart from the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Education Substitution: A master's (or higher) degree, or two or more years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or an LL.B. or J.D. from an accredited college or university; OR
Combination of Experience and Education: A combination of specialized experience AND successfully completed graduate-level education. This will be calculated using your resume and official or unofficial transcripts submitted with your application.
Other Requirements:
Citizenship: You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.
Residency: You must have had primary U.S. residency (includes protectorates as declared under international law) for at least three (3) of the last five (5) years.
Age Restriction: In accordance with Public Law 100-238, this position is covered under law enforcement retirement provisions. Candidates must be referred for selection to the Customs and Border Protection Officer position before reaching their 40th birthday in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Directive 251-03. The age restriction may not apply if you are currently serving or have previously served in a federal civilian law enforcement (non-military) position covered by Title 5 U.S.C. 8336(c) or Title 5 U.S.C. 8412(d).
Veterans' Preference: You may also be eligible for an excepted service Veterans Recruitment Appointment (VRA). The age restriction does not apply if you are Veterans' Preference eligible.
Formal Training: You will be required to complete a paid pre-academy orientation for approximately two (2) weeks at your home port. You will then attend a 101-day training program - CBP Field Operations Academy - conducted at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) located in Glynco, GA. This training consists of basic law enforcement skills, immigration laws, firearms training, examination of cargo/bags/merchandise, physical fitness, etc. Candidates assigned to the southern border, Miami, or Puerto Rico duty locations must attend and pass an online Spanish training program, which will be completed at their home port. Successful completion of the Academy is required for this position.
