Summary
The Account Director - Exhibit Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth through the identification, pursuit, and closing of new business opportunities within the trade show and exhibit space. This position maintains a client-centric focus while executing integrated sales strategies, building long-term relationships, and exceeding revenue targets. The role is distinguished by a focus on proactive business development, qualifying prospects, and delivering tailored solutions that address client needs.
This position will support our Growth team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show site 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out of any of the following locations:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
● Identify and Pursue Opportunities: Proactively research, target, and engage prospective clients, leveraging a thorough understanding of Sparks infrastructure, capabilities, and staff roles to present tailored solutions.
● Sales Generation and Closing: Generate leads, develop sales plans for target accounts, and move prospects through the pipeline to successful close, using all available techniques (outreach, networking, events, etc.).
● Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients at all levels, across industries, to understand business and marketing objectives and provide effective, value-driven solutions.
● Strategic Communication: Clearly communicate roles, responsibilities, project scope, budgets, schedules, and status updates to clients and internal teams, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the sales and delivery process.
● Program Delivery Oversight: Remain involved from project inception through execution, collaborating with Project Leads and internal teams to guarantee that client objectives are met and deliverables align with expectations.
● Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with marketing, creative, and project teams in the development of proposals, RFIs, RFPs, and presentations. Participate in creative brainstorms and support a collaborative, solutions-oriented culture.
● Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate reporting of sales activity, pipeline status, new opportunities, and forecasts using Salesforce or other tools, and ensure up-to-date internal communication.
● Client Briefing & Strategy: Complete strategic briefs for project kick-offs and provide timely, clear input to both internal and external stakeholders to set programs up for success.
● Industry Presence: Represent Sparks at key industry events, tradeshows, and forums to source new business and expand the agency's profile.
● Continuous Improvement: Gather client feedback, anticipate potential challenges, propose innovative solutions, and participate in the ongoing evolution of sales and delivery processes.
Education & Experience
Required Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required.
● 7+ years of experience in trade show and exhibit sales.
● Demonstrated new business development track record, including prospecting, qualifying, and closing complex sales opportunities.
● Proven ability to successfully develop and execute sales strategies to generate revenue and build lasting client partnerships.
● Excellent relationship-building, networking, and communication skills (written and verbal).
● Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with tenacity and resilience in pursuing and closing business.
● Willingness to travel as required for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.

QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree plus continued education through workshops, seminars, and related courses or two years of experience in one of the following areas: planning, finance, disaster management or administration, economics, engineering or related technical professional activities, exhibiting familiarity with related computer programs.
EDUCATION: Good technical writing, analytical ability, and computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Professional). Excellent oral skills, strong organizational skills, and exceptional research skills.

Maintains the HSE organization's website. Triages inputs into the HSE Management System software, administers the internal and external HSE prequalification systems, Assists with data for proposal development, monthly reports, and office and field visit HSE audits and inspections. Mentored, coached, and supported by seasoned HSE professionals on a daily basis.
Your role
Employee will be expected to report a minimum of 3 days a week in their local AtkinsRéalis office location and have daily check-ins with their HSE supervisor and/or location manager unless otherwise specified.
Employee will be required to travel a minimum of 25% of the time to office and project locations to support HSE and will frequently participate in office and field HSE inspections with more senior HSE professionals such that they can learn the HSE profession.
Manages incidents and other data into the organization's safety management system software Eco Online.
Coordinates responses to incidents with Regional HSE Managers.
Helps develop learning management system HSE training using Synthesia and other software.
Assists with training attendance metrics and reporting.
Assists with development of HSE communications, training videos and other media
Coordinates with Fleet Manager vehicle damage if applicable and assists with Driver Safety Program as it relates to Authorized and Business Drivers. Maintains telematics reports and coordinates with Regional HSE Managers and Fleet Manager.
Manages HSE Program for any Commercial Driver's License (CDL)) drivers in coordination with Fleet Manager.
Maintains all incident case records in Eco Online in accordance with legal requirements and the US Region records retention policies.
Provides Metrics development support and regular loss and performance summaries relevant to accidents and injuries for the US Region.
Administers information collection and recordkeeping functions associated with all HSE-related incidents. Maintains required incident logs and information. Assists with development of various HSE performance reports, including annual OSHA-required incident summaries, alerts, and lessons learned.
Maintains HSE SharePoint site and company Sphere intranet website. Assists with maintaining external website content. Coordinates with HSE Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) vendor as needed.
Supplies data as requested to support and respond to client and other external stake-holder requests for US Region HSE performance and programs information.
Manages US Region interface with client-mandated third-party HSE Evaluators (e.g., ISNetWorld, Avetta).
Administers US Region HSE subcontractor prequalification system.
May perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
About you
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in technical discipline related to the sciences and preferably in a Health, Safety, or Environmental field or technical field associated with the architect, engineering and construction (AEC) industry. 0-5 years experience working in that capacity. Work experience prior to and during college taken into consideration as well as experience working with others.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required. Requires proficiency and interest in a wide variety of modern software and AI technology.
Must be able to read and write proficiently and be able to correct and improve writing of others.
Interest in and ability to understand technical information is valuable inasmuch as the business is infrastructure architecture, engineering, and construction.
A positive outlook, helping others, a history of team sports, and other traits and experiences is also considered valuable in this role inasmuch as HSE professionals have to work as a team and with a wide variety of employees. Those experiences and attributes have proven to support success in the role and be the foundation of a highly successful HSE professional.

Will be required to obtain OSHA30 and HAZWOPER 40 upon hire. A training and certification plan will be developed with the successful candidate to further their career in HSE.
Must have a valid driver's license and willingness to drive on business to office and field locations. Must be willing to fly to a wide variety of US geographies and spend the week for HSE audits, inspections, trainings, and other activities.
Ability to process paper documents and effectively utilize a computer. Ability to communicate effectively.
Employee must be physically fit to be able to work on uneven construction sites, climb scaffolding and ladders, access roofs, enter confined spaces, access aerial work platforms and wear associated personal fall arrest equipment. Employee may be required to be in a medical monitoring program with annual physicals and wear an air purifying respirator on occasions to evaluate confined-space workspaces or monitor other's work activities in those locations.
Employee may be exposed to (safe) at-height work such as on rooftops and in aerial work platforms when evaluating employee work locations.
Ability to stoop, crawl, climb, lift, carry and physically maneuver self in order to conduct inspections and investigations; ability to see, hear and understand visual and audio safety signals in traffic, job and accident site situations; ability to work outdoors in varying weather, traffic and site conditions.
Ability/willingness to do overnight travel as needed and/or work outside of the United States.

Maintain and update information on the AtkinsRéalis US Deliver Work Hub (SharePoint). Populate the Deliver Work Hub with relevant program and project management information, links, documents, and any other PM-related resources. Ensure content is updated and posted as needed and coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure their content is up to date.
Ensure corporate standards for PM performance are integrated within existing performance management processes and systems. Support the business unit organizations in developing specific goals and objectives to direct and measure PM performance.
Facilitate the US PM Competency program. Request PMs and PDs complete the self-assessment evaluation. Assign a moderator to review the results. Prepare package for the PM accreditation board to review. Report results to the Global Project Management Network.
Works closely with business unit operational leadership to ensure that PM practices, procedures, and protocols support operational needs, objectives, and strategies.
Work with the finance and quality teams to support audit data and applying lessons learned.
Provide on-call help desk support. Support includes troubleshooting, user education, dashboard & report assistance, and project finance support. May involve researching unique anomalies to determine the cause and resolve the issue.
Work closely with internal software developers to create and enhance project performance dashboards and reports. Assist with trouble-shooting the company's reporting systems and participates in development of new reports and tools consistent with PM operational needs.
About you
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field, plus seven years relevant experience with at least five years in a supervisory capacity with budget responsibility.
Strong excel skills required (pivot tables, filters, formulas etc.)
Good technical writing, analytical ability and computer skills.
Candidate background in data analysis and key financial metrics a plus.
Familiar with Oracle and/or CRM/Vision a plus

Conduct historic resource field surveys.

Assess effects to historic resources, including working with engineering professionals and the overall project team to avoid or minimize impacts in accordance with Section 106 and other applicable regulations.

Maintain internal and external delivery schedules for all assigned projects, prioritized by project baseline schedule dates.

Must be prepared to spend some time in the field and travel to project sites, with some overnight visits required. Projects will generally be in Florida but could also be outside of the state, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE: 0-2 years of full-time professional Architectural Historian experience, including conducting historic resource surveys and background research, plus demonstrated ability to carry projects to completion.
EDUCATION: At a minimum, must meet the Secretary of the Interior's Professional Qualification Standards for History or Architectural History, including a degree in History, Architectural History, Historic Preservation, or a closely related field.

Provide sub-contract support to Project Managers and other internal clients.
Assist subcontractors to register in company's database. Review Certificate of Insurance for compliance with Prime contract and/or company's standard insurance terms. Review scope of work to ensure HSE requirements internally are coordinated.
Assist with Request for Proposal form and verifies accuracy and completeness of proposal packages. Interfaces with affected groups to clarify and ensure that all necessary data has been included.

Process purchase requisitions for expenses related to the engagement of subcontractors and subconsultants up to an including Purchase Order issuance.
Assist or Lead negotiation of terms and conditions, leveraging the Contracts Managers and Subcontract Manager as needed.
Participate in the evaluation and implementation of Sub-contract initiatives.
Ensure Purchase Requisitions are properly coded and are approved per the authorization matrix. Work with AP and end users to resolve P.O./ invoice discrepancies. Work with Finance as needed.
Assist with review of contract terms and conditions for variance to contract templates. Edit, comment and submit for legal review as necessary. Negotiate acceptable terms and conditions with Subcontractor/subconsultant. File fully executed contract in required document repository. Interact in a professional manner with internal and external customers.
Assist with the development, modification and documentation of subcontract Policies and Procedures.

What will you contribute?
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent discipline, plus a minimum of eight years' relevant experience related to procurement or general contracts administration.

Plan, schedule, budget, outline, and lead storyboard and text development, management reviews, and proposal production.
Provides high impact, compelling writing on sections of the proposal and customizes projects, resumes, and other text to be tailored to the client/pursuit objectives.
Assemble appropriate authors, section and volume leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs) and other support personnel to successfully develop a compliant and winning proposal.
Perform research and interview staff to help write/translate complex concepts into a narrative that can be understood by non-technical readers. Direct and manage pursuit team efforts overall.
Coordinate proposal information with any subconsultants.
Lead teams through strategic reviews (pink, red, green, gold, and IQR) and recovery.
Conduct independent quality reviews for team member proposals.
Mentor assigned pursuit staff, including technical staff, proposal coordinators, and content specialists, by advising on and reviewing proposal management plans, schedules, outlines, compliance, matrices and storyboards, proposal process, strategy.
Coordinate all graphics and document layout through the graphic artists.
Produce, package and track the proposal for delivery, ensuring that the proposal submission deadlines are always achieved.
Lead development of PowerPoint presentations and coordinate any leave-behind materials with the graphic artists.
Ensure the proposal closeout process is complete.
Supports work-sharing to balance workloads.
Lead internal lessons learned debrief. Identify weaknesses in a document and creative ways to improve. Ensure project manager conduct a client debrief; captures information in CRM tool.
Responsibilities include the management of direct reports.
May perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary relating to proposal efficiency improvement projects. May establish staff performance goals and objectives commensurate with market goals.
About you
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or related major, plus seven years of experience within the firm or in a similar technical/marketing environment. Without a degree, seventeen years of relevant experience is required in addition to appropriate knowledge and skills leading proposals in the industry.
Experience leading pursuit responses from prepositioning through to proposal submission and interview. Experience managing teams to deliver by established deadlines.
Strategic thinker; understands how to develop winning content. Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, motivate professional staff, and guide teams. Strong grammar, spelling, composition, and proofreading abilities. Job requires detail orientation and the ability to multi-task and work under the pressure of a deadline-driven environment with a high consequence of error (which may result in the loss of considerable revenue to the firm).
Experience with InDesign software required.
Experience with proposals to Federal, DOTs, and city municipalities is highly preferred.
Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite and CRM tools experience required.
Understanding of A-E and project management industry standards and disciplines. Can translate abstract ideas or narrative text into graphical concepts to illustrate concepts more effectively. Works independently; yet functions effectively as a member of a team.
