Your Role on the Team The Senior Assistant Dean for the Bren School of Information & Computer Sciences (ICS) provides administrative leadership and day-to-day management of the School's general operations. Incumbent works directly with the Dean and other School leadership in defining and overseeing the implementation of key priorities related to the school's academic mission. Establishes operating objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinate managers. The core discipline of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry is the understanding of the molecular mechanisms that underlie all fundamental biological processes. Your Role on the Team Under supervision from the PI, the employee will help with the everyday running of a research lab that utilizes zebrafish as a model system. Responsibilities in the zebrafish facility will include assisting with a limited variety of tasks that do not require a thorough understanding of the principles involved. Duties may include basic zebrafish husbandry, keeping records of water quality, updating the computer database of fish lines, cleaning and autoclaving zebrafish glassware and tanks, preparation of media, PCR-based genotyping of animals and screening of animal transgenic lines. Work with embryos may involve raising embryos, observing their development, screening for fluorescent markers, performing gnotobiotic procedures, performing bacterial associations, and recording the data. Your Role on the Team Gastroenterology Hospitalist position- Inpatient coverage, UCI IRVINE Hospital. This will be an inpatient only position providing care in the Irvine Hospital location. The role includes seeing inpatient gastroenterology consultations, inpatient rounding, subsequent care and performing general gastroenterology inpatient procedures including General GI emergencies. Emergency ERCP procedures is not required but is optional. At this hospital, there will be 4 inpatient consultation services offered within Gastroenterology and Hepatology: General GI, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Hepatology and Interventional Gastroenterology. The role will include seeing consultations from all inpatient consultative services. Interventional GI procedures will be performed by the Interventional GI team on site.
