JOB SUMMARY: Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) assist in the day-to-day support of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role of UCP of Georgia DSPs involves assisting adults with daily tasks such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, transportation, and social activities. Our DSPs understand the unique strengths and challenges of each individual they serve, tailoring their support to promote personal growth and independence. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Engages residents in activities of choice, which reinforces ISP goals. Provides transportation and supervision for residents as dictated by individual program. Ensures that all information regarding daily activities, problems and needs of residents are recorded properly in daily log. Ensures each resident's personal hygiene and grooming needs are met. Uses appropriate body mechanics to lift, move, and position and provides prescribed exercises and physical care to residents. Inspects home at beginning of shift to ensure that home meets all safety requirements, checking for clutter and dangerous objects. Corrects deficiencies or submit written report to supervisor outlining deficiencies by end of shift. Conducts evacuation drills, both fire and severe weather, as directed by supervisor. Follow program plan for meeting all potential emergencies and disasters, such as medical, fire, severe weather and missing persons. Cleans and sanitizes all appliances, utensils and work surfaces in accordance with the Personal Care Home Rules and Regulations guidelines. Cooks and prepares meals. Job Summary: Provide direct support, supervision, and training for people with disabilities residing in a residential facility, including feeding, bathing, dressing, assisting with mobility. Maintains and enters daily records in Therap. Duties/Responsibilities: Provides transportation and supervision for individuals as required to meet employment, recreational, and leisure activities. Performs inspections of vans and ensures that all training for the safe transport of residents is followed including performing tie-downs, and seat belt usage. Performs housekeeping responsibilities to include but not limited to, kitchens, bathrooms, windows, bedrooms, and floors. Maintains all standards when preparing meals and managing diets. Follows guidelines for safe handling of food as well as ensures adequate supplies. Ensures meals are prepared according to Individual Healthcare plans. Provides personal care support to individuals which includes changing, dressing, and other ADLs. Completes all documentation and notes as required using the Therap system and other programs. Ensures that goals are being completed according to each individual's ISP. Conducts evacuation drills and records results. Assists in the planning and facilitation of person-centered outings. Completes behavioral tracking logs as required. Follows all agency, State, and Federal laws and policies. Uses PolicyStat as needed to access policies. Completes all required training. Uses Relias to either complete training or register for courses. Manages medical emergencies according to the health service plan. Attends doctor's appointments, transports residents to medical appointments and emergency room as required and requested. Identifies and reports maintenance issues to the supervisor or through NetFacilities if available. Reports to work promptly and on time and does not leave work until assigned shift ends or has approval from the supervisor. Observe policies/procedures governing requests for annual, sick, or other leave time. Completes Medication Administration and Proxy training. Administers meds to residents and follows all policies related to MAR entries. Tracks vital signs and other health-related information for residents. All other duties as assigned. JOB SUMMARY: Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) assist in the day-to-day support of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role of UCP of Georgia DSPs involves assisting adults with daily tasks such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, transportation, and social activities. Our DSPs understand the unique strengths and challenges of each individual they serve, tailoring their support to promote personal growth and independence. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Engages residents in activities of choice, which reinforces ISP goals. Provides transportation and supervision for residents as dictated by individual program. Ensures that all information regarding daily activities, problems and needs of residents are recorded properly in daily log. Ensures each resident's personal hygiene and grooming needs are met. Provides training and assistance in changing appropriate apparel daily to ensure comfort and well-being for residents. Uses appropriate body mechanics to lift, move, and position and provides prescribed exercises and physical care to residents. Inspects home at beginning of shift to ensure that home meets all safety requirements, checking for clutter and dangerous objects. Corrects deficiencies or submit written report to supervisor outlining deficiencies by end of shift. Conducts evacuation drills, both fire and severe weather, as directed by supervisor. Records results of each drill. Follow program plan for meeting all potential emergencies and disasters, such as medical, fire, severe weather and missing persons. Cleans and sanitizes all appliances, utensils and work surfaces in accordance with the Personal Care Home Rules and Regulations guidelines. Cleans cooking surfaces exhaust hoods and oven. Disposes of garbage daily sanitizing containers and lids. Reports any problem with equipment used by residents to supervisor. Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, kitchen, and telephones daily in accordance with Personal Care Home guidelines. Ensures compliance in the area of responsibility during assigned hours with local, state, and federal rules and regulations applying to Personal Care Home and UCP Residential Services. Complies with policies and procedures to ensure that confidentiality requirements are upheld. The role of UCP of Georgia DSPs involves assisting adults with daily tasks such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, transportation, and social activities. Our DSPs understand the unique strengths and challenges of each individual they serve, tailoring their support to promote personal growth and independence. Duties/Responsibilities: Provides transportation and supervision for individuals as required to meet employment, recreational and leisure activities. Performs inspections of vans and ensures that all training for the safe transport of residents is followed including performing tie downs, seat belt usage. Performs housekeeping responsibilities to include but not limited to, kitchens, bathrooms, windows, bedrooms, and floors. Maintains all standards when preparing meals and managing diets. Follows guidelines for safe handling of food as well as ensures adequate supplies. Ensures meals are prepared according to Individual Healthcare plans. Provides personal care support to individuals which includes changing, dressing, and other ADL's. Completes all documentation and notes as required using the Therap system and other programs. Ensures that goals are being completed according to each individual's ISP. Conducts evacuation drills and records results. Assists in the planning and facilitation of person-centered outings. Completes behavioral tracking logs as required. Follows all agency, State and Federal laws and policies. Uses PolicyStat as needed to access policies. Completes all required training. Uses Relias to either complete training or register for courses. Manages medical emergencies according to the health service plan. Attends doctors appointments, transports residents to medical appointments and emergency room as required and requested. Identifies and reports maintenance issues to supervisor or through NetFacilities if available.
