JOB DESCRIPTION Alaska Overview ConocoPhillips Alaska and its heritage companies have more than 50 years of business history in Alaska. As Alaska's largest oil and gas producer, the company produced an average 182 thousand barrels of oil 2017. ConocoPhillips, with about 1,100 Alaska employees, holds major ownership interests in the Prudhoe Bay Unit, the Kuparuk River Unit, and the Colville River Unit (Alpine). ConocoPhillips operates the Kuparuk and Alpine oil fields on the North Slope. The company has an ownership interest in the Trans Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS) and owns/operates the Polar Tankers fleet. Asset Description Willow is an oil discovery located within the Bear Tooth Unit (BTU) in the National Petroleum Reserve of Alaska (NPR-A) approximately 30 miles west-southwest of the Alpine Central Facility (ACF) on the North Slope of Alaska. The Willow Development is expected to contain greater than 600 MMBOE gross recoverable resource. The initial phase of Willow development will include a new Willow Central Processing Facility (WCF), three drill sites, pipelines, roads, bridges, and supporting infrastructure. The second phase of development will include at least one additional drillsite. Scope Summary The Project will require six (6) years of field construction commencing in 2023 and completing in 2028. Early construction work focuses on establishing infrastructure, gravel roads, bridges, airstrip, pipelines, and temporary and permanent camps. Later construction work focuses on the installation of process facilities on WCF and 3 drillsites. Field construction commences in 2023 (Year 1) with limited civil construction. 2024 (Year 2) continues with civil construction and begins pipeline construction. 2025 (Year 3) continues civil and pipelines and on pad facility work starts with the installation of the permanent camp and infrastructure at the Willow Operations Center (WOC). 2026 (Year 4) completes civil construction, continues pipeline construction, and starts facility construction on the WCF. 2027 (Year 5) continues pipeline and facility construction work and work begins on the drillsites. 2028 (Year 6) completes pipeline and facility construction for the initial development phase. The Willow pipeline and poweline scope includes including ~200 miles of above ground pipeline, ~8500 vertical support members, ~30 miles of above ground power and fiber, and (3) ~1 mile horizontally directionally drilled under river pipeline bores. The work will be executed on 2 geographically distinct workfronts spanning 85 miles and the construction supervisor will oversee one of the two workfronts. Position Summary The Willow Construction Supervisor is a functional report to the Willow Pipeline Superintendent and is a core member of the Willow Construction Team. The position is responsible for the safe and successful delivery of the Willow Pipeline Program. Reporting to the Construction Supervisor are Construction Coordinators who help to oversee the day-to-day field activities. Assiting the supervisor is a field pipeline Planner who aides with coordinating, prioritzing, and progressing contractor work scopes. The position is accountable for reviewing engineering drawings, verifying material quantities, identifying shorts, identifying execution issues and constraints, reviewing contractor execution plans, and leading the construction readiness process prior to contractor field mobilization. Upon mobilization the Construction Supervisor is accoutable for monitoring construction progress, identifing and resolving SimOps issues, providing input on the priortization of critical activities to contractor leadership, and ensuring the health and safety of all field personnel. Work Schedule & Conditions: Rotational schedule: 14/14 or 21/21, including holidays, weekends, and both day/night shifts. Must be able to work and live with others in close quarters. Position may require occasional travel and field-based training. Operations-oriented role that may require being on-call, working overnights, and holidays. Assist with rig-up and rig-down operations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the rig and surrounding areas. Load, unload, and move materials and equipment using hoists, forklifts, or by hand. Operate and maintain hand and power tools. Assist in assembling and disassembling drilling equipment. Support drilling crew with tasks as directed by the Driller or Rig Manager. Monitor and report equipment or safety issues. Follow all safety protocols and participate in safety meetings and drills. Work in harsh weather conditions, including snow, ice, and sub-zero temperatures. Process Control / Technical Service Engineers can work on a wide array of projects in support of the process control systems installed throughout the refinery and products movements areas. The process control systems in the refinery provide real-time control and data acquisition functions in support of operating the refinery process and electrical equipment. Typical college co-op assignments include the following: troubleshooting system power supply problems, control system programming, hardware and software lifecycle replacement projects, installing and troubleshooting communication networks and monitoring control system performance metrics.
