Job Summary (Purpose):
A CES Learning and Development Facilitator focuses on delivering training modules, conducting ILT and VILT classroom sessions. The duties of a Facilitator include staging environments, assessing the skill level of current employees, creating effective training approaches, and delivering training programs. The Learning and Development Facilitator will assist with content review and feedback of new and existing programs/modules. A Facilitator has regular contact with L&D Management, to ascertain the needs of the organization. Training audiences may be either individual or a classroom group.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Facilitate engaging learning sessions, incorporating interactive activities, group discussions, case studies, and
* role-playing exercises to maximize participant engagement and knowledge retention.
* Delivers group and individual instruction and training covering a range of technical, operational, and/or
* management areas.
* Conduct in person and virtual onboarding and upskilling training programs based on employee job role and
* responsibilities.
* Monitor and measure the effectiveness of training programs through post-training assessments, feedback
* surveys, and observation of behavior changes in the workplace.
* Evaluates effectiveness of training and development programs and utilizes relevant evaluation data to recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods.
* Evaluate employee performance, works with L&D Manager and CES Leaders to determine trends and areas for continuous education.
* Collaborate with Technical Writers and Instructional Designers to create and maintain end user documentation including, step by step procedures, job aids, and standard operating procedures.
* Plan and execute tasks related to training prep, including but not limited to data staging, worksheets, employee user guides, role play.
* Support and respond to training inquiries. Serve as subject matter expert for CES systems, processes, roles, and special projects.
* Conduct weekly BPO knowledge transfer sessions, quarterly train the trainer sessions, ad hoc auditing train the trainer performances.

Summary
This position is responsible for managing the cost management framework for assigned projects. It performs complex aspects of change documentation and cost control while reporting up to program or portfolio level. The Senior Project Controls Specialist (SrPCS) is a critical position as the expert of Cost Management (set up cost baseline and monitor/control throughout the project lifecycle). Summary

Position Summary
This is the first level of the Nuclear Materials Specialist classification hierarchy. This is an entry level position used for new employees with little experience. Employees at this level will require very close supervision and training for basic warehouse tasks and functions.
The Nuclear Materials Specialist position is responsible for executing day-to-day activities in support of warehouse operations including, but not limited to, inventory control, issues, receiving, transfers, chemical inventory and, if applicable, equipment and tools. The Nuclear Materials Specialist will be a self-starter and customer-driven to support the supply chain organization and the generation plant operations customers.
The Nuclear Materials Specialist will be responsible for maintaining excellent communications and relationships with supply chain site procurement and site operations to ensure the efficient flow of commodities in and out of plant inventories.
There is no automatic progression between hierarchies.

Basic Qualifications Engineering Technologist I
Associates degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
In lieu of degree, HS/GED and 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
Basic Qualifications Engineering Technologist II
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology OR 2+ years relevant industry experience and an Associate's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
In lieu of degree, HS/GED and 4+ years relevant industry experience.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Good written and oral communication skills & able to effectively apply basic principles of project management.
Experience in the utility industry; specifically, Power Distribution and related customer service on phone calls, emails and notably in-person
Experience managing Work Orders in MAXIMO (Date management, pre-requisites, construction tasks, status updating, etc.)
GIS based drawing tools, specifically in the internally developed tool Design Lite, with estimation of material and labor Compatible Units (CU).
OUD or MicroStation (Bentley suite), and/or AutoCAD skills are a plus, along with familiarity with ESRI products such as ARGUS.
Knowledge of NESC based overhead and underground power distribution specifications.
Superior organizational skills to manage a substantial backlog of Work Orders from residential, commercial, and industrial customers both externally and with internal customers such as land services for a geographic territory assigned to the individual.
Candidate will need to work well with other team members in the Area Engineering group as well as proactively communicate with Work Management, Scheduling and Construction groups.
Emotional intelligence and discipline to collaborate with customers seeking immediate resolutions to specific needs and potential process gap remediation.
Working Conditions
Hybrid Mobility Classification - (Minimum 3 days in office) is available after initial training and transition phase, with emphasis on in-person availability as needed for business and customers need during the week and across business hours starting at least at 8am
Mix of field work, computer-aided design, and project management in office & hybrid settings
Ability to stake jobs, drive flags in the ground, check poles with probing tools/hammer and handling of PPE and basic tools.
Potentially assist peers out of other office locations within this same area, like Fort Mill, York, or Chester, when covering them or for workload balancing
Drive (shared) pool allocated company vehicles to site visits and storm roles, following all company safety protocol and requirements, typically from their reporting Operations Center

The Engineer I position is the entry level of the Engineering classification hierarchy. Employees in the Engineer I position solve problems in engineering areas of specialization with close supervision. An Engineer I is expected to develop skills, and the ability to work with greater independence. An Engineer I has knowledge of fundamental concepts and procedures.
The position is part of the Substation Engineering - Civil Engineering Team within the Carolinas West region of Duke Energy. This position and the team are located in the Duke Energy Plaza in Charlotte, NC. The team is responsible for a wide variety of Civil Engineering activities associated with Transmission Substations including, but not limited to, the following:
Structural and foundation design, analysis, and testing for Substation structures and equipment
Site development and permitting support for new and expanding Substations
Design, implementation and maintenance of oil spill mitigation plans and measures (SPCC) for Substations in the Duke Energy Carolinas West Region
This Engineer I position is expected to have an elevated understanding of structural and foundation design principles. Ideally, the candidate would have obtained design/analysis experience through advanced-level coursework and/or student worker experience. This skill set will enable them to support and design planned project work, troubleshoot various Civil-related issues that arise across our region, and actively support the growth and improvement of the Civil Team.
