Jeevan brings nearly 15 years of successful corporate leadership, and he is well versed in construction, oil field services, heavy-haul trucking, marine transportation, and the government contracting and service industries.

Mr. Pokharel earned both his Master's and Bachelor's degrees from the University of Idaho.

He is a member of the International Rotary Club here in Anchorage and participates in their community service and fundraising activities that benefit local, state, national and worldwide causes. In his spare time, he loves traveling the globe.

Joe began his career with UIC in June of 2010 as its Corporate Assistant Controller. Through the years, Joe has held a number of positions including Financial Systems Coordinator and, most recently, Corporate Controller. Prior to working with UIC, Joe also spent many years working for other Alaska Native companies and has held various different accounting roles.

Joe is also an avid softball player and coach and holds a seat on the Anchorage Sports Association Softball Board of Directors. He even organizes a Fur Rondy Snowshoe softball team which has won back to back championships.

Joe’s experience and leadership activities make him a great fit to step in as the Acting Chief Financial Officer. Joe will be a great help in his new role in assisting UIC’s leadership continue to focus on strategies and to achieve long term goals set by the President and the board.

Delbert Rexford brings more than 30 years of North Slope leadership to UIC. He is actively involved with the Iñupiat Community of the Arctic Slope (ICAS) Tribal Council and served as a Councilman for the City of Barrow for seven years and as a North Slope Borough Assemblyman for six years. He also served as a Gates of the Arctic National Park Subsistence Commission Member for nine years and as an Alaska Municipal League Director/ President.
