BUSINESS ANALYST (MSC): Bowhead seeks a Business Analyst to join our team in supporting the Military Sealift Command (MSC) Financial Management support Services effort located in Norfolk, VA. The mission of MSC is to provide sealift for strategic mobility support of national defense objectives.
Responsibilities
* Analyze business processes, functional requirements, and financial workflows in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards.
* Apply documented knowledge of the Department of Defense Financial Management Regulation (DoD FMR) or comparable Federal financial regulations to evaluate requirements and identify improvements.
* Develop and document business requirements, system specifications, process maps, and use cases.
* Support change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, communications, and training materials.
* Assist with system testing, including test case development, user acceptance testing (UAT), and documentation of results.
* Prepare written correspondence, briefings, and decision materials in support of project management and program stakeholders.
* Conduct data analysis, prepare Excel-based financial or operational reports, and support metrics tracking.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including accountants, system administrators, and SAP/ERP SMEs-to ensure accurate translation of business needs into system functionality.
* Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint, including advanced functions such as data analysis and pivot tables.
* Communicate effectively through written and verbal channels with Government and contractor personnel.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field.
* Three (3+) years of business analytical experience.
* Experience with the Department of Defense Financial Management Regulation (DoD FMR) or comparable regulation.
* Knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes.
* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
* Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

We are now seeking a highly experienced, positive, IT Systems / Reporting Analyst.
Position Summary:
In support of Central Oil and Supplies core mission, this position provides intermediate level analytical support to the department. It assists in identifying and analyzing reporting and process issues affecting the organization and in identifying and implementing automated reporting enhancements. Create advanced SQL queries and build automated reports in various platforms including Microsoft Reporting Services and MS Power BI displaying the results. Develop MS SharePoint applications and forms as needed to support customer care.
Qualifications:
Pursuit of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in training and experience.
Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
Working knowledge of DTS/SQL Server Integration Services.
Working knowledge of MS SharePoint, MS Power BI, MS Automate.
Relational database experience.
Excellent analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Experience.
Experience with .NET technologies.
Strong analytical skills, graphing, and tracking of raw data.
Experience in telecommunications or call center environments
Good understanding of quality assurance and quality control principles, using quality tools and root cause analysis.

BUSINESS ANALYST (MSC):
Bowhead seeks a Business Analyst to join our team in supporting the Military Sealift Command (MSC) Financial Management support Services effort located in Norfolk, VA. The mission of MSC is to provide sealift for strategic mobility support of national defense objectives.
Responsibilities
Analyze business processes, functional requirements, and financial workflows in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards.
Apply documented knowledge of the Department of Defense Financial Management Regulation (DoD FMR) or comparable Federal financial regulations to evaluate requirements and identify improvements.
Develop and document business requirements, system specifications, process maps, and use cases.
Support change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, communications, and training materials.
Assist with system testing, including test case development, user acceptance testing (UAT), and documentation of results.
Prepare written correspondence, briefings, and decision materials in support of project management and program stakeholders.
Conduct data analysis, prepare Excel-based financial or operational reports, and support metrics tracking.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including accountants, system administrators, and SAP/ERP SMEs-to ensure accurate translation of business needs into system functionality.
Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint, including advanced functions such as data analysis and pivot tables.
Communicate effectively through written and verbal channels with Government and contractor personnel.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field.
Three (3+) years of business analytical experience.
Experience with the Department of Defense Financial Management Regulation (DoD FMR) or comparable regulation.
Knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Physical Demands

Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged period amounts of time.
Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Public Trust level. US Citizenship is a requirement for this contract.
