IT PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST (CORPIT) Bowhead is looking to hire an experienced IT Procurement Specialist with a strong background in logistics Acquisition and Sustainment processes in Dahlgren, VA. The IT Procurement Specialist will support the activities of an Enterprise level organization with the initiation of procurement requests using the Information Technology Purchase Requests (ITPRs) in the Navy Information Dominance Approval System (NAV-IDAS), or through the completion of Purchase Card Request Forms (PCRF) and assist in the development of Sole Source Justifications (SSJ) memos when required.
Responsibilities
* The IT Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Flowcharts, and Procurement Action-Tracker and will provide monthly progress reports input inclusive of tasks accomplished during the month as well as planned tasks for the following month.
* Clarify specifications with client/technicalspecialists to fully understand requirements and conduct market research to identify sources that meet end-user specifications.
* Prior to procurement package submission the IT Procurement Specialist will coordinate with Information Assurance Officers (IAO) to ensure Purchase Request for hardware and software are associated with an approved Assessment & Authorization (A&A) package and listed in the hardware/software baseline.
* Submit end-user approved purchase orders and supporting documents to the Acquisition Liaison Office (ALO).
* Review of the Department of the Navy (DON) Application & Database Management System (DADMS) software list and coordination with DADMS Team Leads for United States (US) Navy and Dahlgren approved software.
Qualifications
* One to three (1-3) years of professional experience.
* Experience ensuring the adequate accountability and security of supplies and equipment is required.
* Knowledge of the principles, practices, responsibilities, and requirement of logistic support services, and the integration of supply, maintenance, and other support activities.
* Good execution, planning and prioritization skills including strong analytical and problem solving skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
* To receive and respond to instructions/assignments, must be able to read, write and speak English

Responsibilities

Identifies security risks and exposures (data, application, infrastructure, devices etc.) and suggests measures to prevent future incidents and improve cybersecurity. Employ techniques and procedures for conducting risk assessments and compliance audits for IT and OT. Investigates and remediates security incidents such as intrusion, frauds, attacks, or leaks. Determines potential cybersecurity threats, coordinates preventive actions across the network leveraging intelligence from multiple internal and external sources and cybersecurity technologies. Identifies threat actors and their techniques, tools, and processes to identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks.
Infrastructure Engineering & Operations Intern:
Interns will focus on either Platform Engineering or Operational Technology (OT) Engineering. Interns will focus on either Software Engineering or Quality Assurance (QA) Engineering, both collaboratively contribute to the software development lifecycle by ensuring both functionality and quality. The Software Engineering intern focuses on designing, developing, testing, and deploying enterprise software solutions, emphasizing automation, security, and continuous improvement. This role involves applying engineering best practices, participating in code reviews, and documenting technical requirements and designs. Meanwhile, the QA intern supports the validation of these solutions through manual and automated testing, assisting in the development of test strategies, creation/execution of test scripts, and reporting bugs. They work closely with cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards across releases and contribute to documentation, automation, and the ongoing enhancement of QA processes within an Agile environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Technical
* Support assembly and maintenance of MWD/LWD/RSS tools and BHAs
* Conduct equipment test and troubleshooting as needed to find failure root cause
* Document failure analysis and root cause findings and provide feedback to other groups such as Manufacturing and Engineering as well as clients
* Operational and shop data analysis and management to ensure proper data flow to other SDI groups involved, in particular Operations
* Identify and document product and procedure improvements and drive implementation
Managerial
* Coordinate assembly processes and production output based on client needs
* Direct and train workshop personnel to ensure assembled tools and BHAs will meet operational requirements
* Stand in for Manager Prototype Assembly and assume managerial duties if needed included supply chain management

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Several years MWD field experience, ideally with SDI system
* Profound technical knowledge related to tool assembly and testing
* Organizational skills to coordinate and optimize complex workflows
* Communication skills to interact with internal and external clients as well as other support groups
* As a minimum SAP basic experience, ideally more in-depth experience with SAP (work-order process, inventory management etc.)
Education, Experience & Requirements:
* Ideally Bachelor of Science degree in technical discipline, as a minimum associate degree or equivalent
* Ideally more than 3 years related job experience or equivalent experience
