Job Summary:
Primary responsibility is to provide tactical purchasing support for assigned value stream(s), ensuring production has the necessary materials to fulfill customer requirements, while ensuring materials, components, and services are purchased at optimal cost, quality, and delivery standards.
The role will interface with suppliers, engineering, quality, planning, inventory management and other operations personnel as required to meet and exceed operational goals.
This will require moderate independence, balancing day-to-day tactical buying with some strategic sourcing responsibilities. This role will also manage supplier relationships for their assigned value stream(s).
Essential Functions*:
Generate correct and timely purchase orders to meet demand, based on MRP demand and/or independently generated purchase requisitions.
Verifies nomenclature and specifications of purchase requests.
Searches inventory records or warehouse to determine if material on hand is in sufficient quantity.
Determine purchasing requirements and stocking levels for existing inventory components.
Manages “Hot Parts” as they arise
Consults catalogs and interviews suppliers to obtain prices and specifications.

Ensure data accuracy (part numbers, Part Costs, delivery schedules, etc.) in MRP; resolve errors directly, or in cooperation with others.
Set up and maintain ERP database for suppliers, products, pricing, commodity codes, as well as order status and delivery information. (Master records, BOM's, component pricing, vendor details, etc.
In collaboration with Purchasing team, provide strategic analysis and recommendations to management for continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, purchasing, and inventory management and control.
Minimize excess inventory.
Communicate with all departments regarding product availability.
Escalate supplier or material risks proactively and propose alternative solutions.
Attend production planning meetings as needed and assist production department in shop floor control as required (control stock, drive cycle counts, etc.)
Obtain and analyze quotes for new or modified items, assist in cost analysis and sourcing recommendations.
Manage assigned supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and on-time delivery.
Participate in supplier meetings, audits and correction action reviews as needed
Assist in developing and maintaining purchasing procedures and supplier scorecards
Occasional travel required for supplier visits.

Education / Training / Skills / Experience:
Associates degree with 4 years of experience OR 6 years of experience in a supply chain role involving; data analysis, purchase requisition and purchase order creation, supplier management, inventory management and planning.
APICS Certified a plus.

The Role
The Project Manager is primarily responsible for management of the new product development process (design, budget, schedule, documentation, customer interaction) and transition of new products to manufacturing. The Project Manager will lead and work alongside a cross-functional engineering team to ensure a successful design and transition to manufacturing of critical products, such as Lithium Ion batteries, chargers, and accessories.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish project schedules, budgets, quality plans (dfmea/pfmea, validation plans), and phase gate design reviews
Lead a cross-functional engineering team to develop new product designs, build and test prototypes, establish component supply base, and prepare documentation packages
Work with internal teams from engineering, manufacturing, testing, materials, finance, and quality
Ability to track and monitor progress vs. project plan and update management on a regular basis
Mitigate risks associated with plan to assure timelines are maintained
Strong initiative to be hands on to solve problems with design and schedule.
Good communication and customer management skills
Domestic and international travel as required
Other duties as assigned
What You Bring:
Bachelor's Degree required, Engineering major preferred
Minimum 5 year's of project management experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong working knowledge of MS Project and MS Office
Experience leading teams as well as working and traveling domestically and/or internationally
Ability to work effectively with team members under limited supervision in order to meet challenging schedule, technical, and cost objectives
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical components
Excellent communication skills required

Monday - Thursday, 4:00pm - 12:30am shift
The hourly rate for this position starts at $16.50 - 22.00, plus shift differential. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of the Ultralife buildings and surrounding grounds by performing cleaning duties and routine maintenance activities.
Essential Functions*:
Perform routine to heavy custodial duties for general building maintenance.
Perform sweeping, scrubbing and waxing of floors and stairwells.
Perform vacuuming and cleaning of carpets.
Maintain and clean restrooms, drinking fountains and break room areas in a sanitary manner and restock with appropriate supplies.
Remove trash, waste and recyclable items from inside the building and on the grounds outside.
Clean windows, window coverings and woodwork.
Maintain walkways, grounds and roadways during all seasons. ie. Snow removal, landscaping.
Operate cardboard baler.
Set up and remove equipment for meetings and other activities.
Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices.
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Notify manager concerning safety hazards or the need for major repairs.
Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
Overtime as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Education / Training / Skills / Experience:
High School Diploma/GED preferred
Minimum of 2 years experience in custodial/janitorial.
Valid Driver's license
Must be able to read and understand operating instructions for cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Experience with fire controls and automation systems preferred
Experience with hazardous material handling preferred.
High level of initiative and strong work ethic.
Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to occasionally lift 30 pounds.
Must be able to frequently push/pull 25 pounds.
Must be able to grip 10 pounds.
Must be able to stand and walk continually (majority of shift).
Must be able to frequently bend and reach.
Must be able to occasionally climb ladders and stairs.
Must be able and willing to operate snow thrower and shovel, and spread snow melting chemicals.
Must be able to operate floor cleaning equipment, requiring hand coordination.
Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals and other solvents.
Must be able to work outdoors under adverse weather conditions.
