In this role: * You will manage and coordinate all daily operations including patient exams, personnel schedules, and physician services within the Ultrasound department. * You will provide technical leadership within the department and therefore requires extensive ultrasound knowledge and skills. * You will be responsible for managing staff, resources and departmental goals and objectives. * You will be able to independently direct workflow, facilitate employee, patient or physician complaints / concerns and uses sound professional judgment to recommend action related to such matters. * You will actively participate with interviewing and hiring and is responsible for training and evaluating employees of the ultrasound department. * You will be responsible for keeping up with current technological advancements in order to recommend and /or implement new protocols. * You will rotate shifts and take call as needed. * You will perform all assigned duties by the Assistant Director or Director of Diagnostic Imaging. What qualifications you will need: * Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or Vocational School Graduate, or Vocational School Graduate * Three (3) years' Ultrasound experience in a hospital environment preferred. * ARDMS * Vascular RVT registered * Completion of a training program from an accredited school of Ultrasound. * Breast experience preferred * American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
