This position will support Christie Clinic on University. The work involves a wide range of vascular ultrasound procedures. These procedures produce results for Physicians in the diagnosis of diseases. Christie Clinic's department of Radiology is seeking a part-time (20 hours/week and benefit eligible) Ultrasonographer at the University, Fields, and Windsor locations on Monday/Wednesday, and rotating Fridays from 7:30am-5:00pm. As an Ultrasonographer, you will perform a wide range of crucial ultrasound procedures to produce results for providers in the diagnosis of diseases. Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technologist or Sonography program is required. Current, or in the process of earning registration by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in physics, is required. Qualifications JOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.) Greet the patient with eye contact, introduce yourself, and verify correct patient by using proper patient identifiers. Ensure the correct ordering provider and test. Perform a wide range of Ultrasound procedures, including but not limited to, abdominal, testicular, breast, thyroid, vascular and soft tissue examinations. Assist the Radiologist in special scans such as cyst aspirations, biopsies and drainages. Ensure that sterile and aseptic techniques are used at all times. Explain the procedure, prepare and position the patient, select appropriate transducers and other necessary items for the procedure.
