Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Lead / Senior Vascular Technologist to serve as both a clinical expert and technical leader within an IAC-accredited Vascular Lab. Working under the delegated authority of the Technical Director and supervising physicians, this role oversees sonography staff, supports professional development, and ensures the quality, accuracy, and consistency of all vascular studies. The Lead Technologist performs the full spectrum of non-invasive vascular exams, including carotid, arterial and venous duplex studies, AVF and graft surveillance, stent surveillance, transcranial Doppler, renal artery studies, arterial physiology testing, and vein mapping. This role also provides oversight of image quality and technical accuracy, assists with IAC reaccreditation, supports quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives, mentors staff and students, and collaborates closely with physicians, administrators, and interdisciplinary care teams across the organization. This means working closely with our emergency doctors to provide same-day ultrasound scans for pets when they need it most. You'll deal with a variety of patient types and scans, so being comfortable adapting to new scenarios and willing to learn new techniques and think outside the box are all part of your day-to-day. You'll also assist in coordinating education opportunities and overall ultrasound training for your home and regional hospitals, inspire and motivate your fellow VEGgies to grow their ultrasound skills, and be ready to pitch in at the hospital whenever and wherever needed.
