Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Certification: Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) certification required. ARDMS or CCI credentials preferred. Provide relevant technical information about the patient and exam to facilitate in the interpretation of the study by the radiologist. Performs other position related duties as assigned. The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound imaging procedures on all patients to provide interpreting Radiologist an accurate clinical history of patient signs and symptoms. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: Responsible for performing all patient ultrasound imaging procedures. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Perform sonographic scans for multiple modalities: General, Echo and Vascular Commute to various clinic sites in assigned area. Inspect and review patient charts, reports, lab results, and medical history. Create patient reports to assist the physician with documentation. Evaluate sonograms to identify or rule-out cardiac/vascular anomalies. Communicate sonographic findings to physician. Communicate machine errors or needs to maintain quality machines and imagery. Restock sonography rooms with required supplies for sonography performance. Cover a variety of clinical settings, including outreach clinics, which may involve extended commute times. Increase your knowledge of diseases and new procedures through CMEs. Other duties assigned by managers. Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited educational program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography Registered Vascular Technologist Certification (RVT) Experience performing vascular ultrasound exams Knowledgeable of human anatomy and medical terminology related specialty Knowledge of applied physics related to ultrasound Compliant with HIPAA as it relates to the use of EMR systems Strong interpersonal and communication skills Calm under pressure and compassionate with patients Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future DO YOU SCORE ANY BONUS POINTS?
