Job Description SUMMARY: The Ultrasound Technologist will assist and/or execute all diagnostic and ultrasound procedures required and/or provided by the Radiology department. The Ultrasound Technologist demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care and consistently performs according to the standards of the profession. The Ultrasound Technologist may handle human blood and other potentially infectious and/or hazardous materials, which may result in possible exposure to blood borne pathogens and/or harmful elements. This position has the responsibility for performing ultrasound exams on patients in the following age groups: infant, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric. This position will be under the supervision of the Director of Radiology and/or Medical Director of Radiology.
