Review processed images to ensure quality and completeness for diagnostic purposes. * Operate computer software, computers, printers, and phone systems. * Contribute and maintain good working rapport with all patients, personnel, radiologists, and physicians to assure that the organization's objectives effectively meet the needs of patients and physicians. * Assure that patient rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, and civil rights are maintained. * Maintain confidentiality of all classified and sensitive information and records, including patient care information. * Contribute to an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis throughout the organization. * Assure formal introduction of self by name to all patients and address patient by name in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. Assure treatment of all patients with warmth, dignity, and consideration. * Follow established policies and procedures, including safety and precautions. * Report all unsafe/hazardous conditions and defective equipment to supervisor immediately. * Assure that assignment areas are maintained in a neat, safe, clean, and orderly fashion. Assist with laundry of patient gowns, sheets, and other linens when appropriate or requested. * Assist with quality control duties and assignments. * Attend and participate in in-service education classes, seminars, staff meetings, and on-the-job training programs as required to comply with policy and accrediting agencies. * Market to referring physician offices, patients, and other potential clients to help grow the services. Distribute marketing brochures, promote growth of imaging services, and referral sources. Represent the organization to the community in a positive manner. Act as a liaison between organization, patients, and referring offices to ensure open communication and problem solving. * Perform other related duties within the job classification or organization as necessary or as assigned by a physician, radiologist, ultrasound supervisor, diagnostic imaging center manager, or technical director. * Recent market adjustments made to hourly rates based on years of experience. Requirements * Required: associate degree (two-year college or technical school) from CAAHEP accredited program * Required: RDMS, ARRT (US), or CCI credentialed/registered in appropriate ultrasound specialty. * Required: Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and not less than 6 months practical ultrasound experience required. * Required: Vascular registry * Required: CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. * Desired: Minimum of 6 months practical experience as a full-time sonographer with vascular experience and vascular registry is desirable Radiology Regional is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
