General Statement of Job: This position independently operates ultrasound equipment to perform all obstetric and gynecologic and advanced maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) examinations in an outpatient clinical setting. As a PRN Ultrasound Technologist, you are responsible for performing diagnostic images for medical interpretation through use of multi-frequency sound waves. They will identify normal and abnormal imaging results, communicating a summary of the results to physicians or other health professionals. The US technologist will independently perform or assist a licensed practitioner in the completion of diagnostic exams (and invasive procedures if applicable). PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Breast Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
