Schedule 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Required Qualifications Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: N/A Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: RVT certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The sonographer must demonstrate an aptitude for human anatomy and physiology, particularly as these areas relate to the peripheral, visceral, and cardiovascular systems. They should use sound judgement in administrating tests and documenting observations. The sonographer must be able to work independently. The ability to exercise good judgement and problem-solving skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients. Takes anatomical images to demonstrate normal and abnormal fetal anatomy and gynecologic anatomy including abnormalities. Reports preliminary findings to the Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist. Participates in the education of healthcare providers.
