Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced UltrasoundTechnologist to support a busy outpatient urology practice on a 26-week contract assignment. This role offers consistent weekday hours, no weekends or holidays, and free on-site parking. The technologist will perform a high daily scan volume and work closely with a collaborative clinical team.
Responsibilities
Perform 20-26 ultrasound exams per day, including:
Renal and bladder studies
Scrotal exams
Transabdominal prostate ultrasounds
Penile Doppler studies
Prostate biopsies
Gold marker placement for prostate cancer
Operate and maintain GE Logiq F8 ultrasound equipment
Upload and manage images using UroChart EMR (no PACS system)
Ensure accurate documentation and image quality
Communicate effectively with providers and clinical staff
Deliver professional, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience as an UltrasoundTechnologist
Active ARDMS certification
Ability to manage a high-volume workflow efficiently
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working in a urology setting
Familiarity with outpatient or procedural ultrasound environments

Job Summary
Summary
Serves as the specialist for advanced and new ultrasound programs and examinations. This position provides guidance to medical sonography students and is a resource to ultrasound staff
Essential Functions
-Provides on-the-job instruction to employees in ultrasound procedures.
-Provides for clinical experience of diagnostic medical sonography students, instructing and guiding students through ultrasound procedures.
-Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures, which may include transporting, transferring, immobilizing, and positioning patients.
-Explain procedures to patients, taking into consideration physical and emotional needs.
-Independently provides advanced UltrasoundTechnologist practitioner procedural activities, which may include echocardiogram, vascular, doppler, etc.
-Records digital images as directed for radiologist interpretation.
-Assists physician in needle biopsies, renal biopsies, etc.
Qualifications
Education
Associate's Degree Diagnostic Imaging required or Associate's Degree Diagnostic Medical Sonographer required and Bachelor's Degree Health Sciences preferred
