JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs routine ultrasound procedures following the protocols established by the radiologist. Patients are positioned and scanned correctly assuring that the physician prescription and scan are the same.
2. Properly inputs all required patient information into the system including protocol, patient history, referring providers, and any additional information to the radiologist regarding the procedure.
3. Obtains complete and detailed history to assist the radiologist with diagnosis from each patient. Performs exams in an accurate and timely manner.
4. Properly identifies patients and demonstrates compassion while maintaining patient confidentiality. Explains the exam to each patient to ensure patient safety and cooperation.
5. Maintains exam rooms by stocking exam rooms with necessary supplies. Maintains equipment and reports any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor or appropriate service provider.
6. Properly windows and levels images for film printing and burns CDs as necessary.

WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Job Summary Provides quality patient care when performing diagnostic sonographic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention. Responsibilities Essential Functions Works closely with Radiologist to perform diagnostic sonographic exams. Exercises professional judgment in performance ofservices and maintains a demeanor complimentary to quality care. Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures. Complies with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality. Adheres to Orlando Health mission statements and commitment to excellence standards. Assesses the patient's physical condition and age specific needs. Provides instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desiredresults. Performs proper patientidentification,acquires patient's clinical history, and assuresthatthe information is accurately documented. Positions patient, equipment, associated devices and manipulatestechnical factorsto achieve high quality images for interpretation. Assesses diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring that all relative anatomy is demonstrated. Comprehends and complies with Quality Controlstandards and participates in all Quality Control tasks. Administers medical aid as required for any emergency situation. Applies appropriate standard precautions and personal protective equipmentto prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases Assists in supervision ofstudent sonographers and training of new sonographers. Utilizes all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately. Ensures safety of all customers. Assists with directing daily workflow. Orients and precepts staff. Participates on committees. Maintains punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies,the ADA, FMLA and other federal,state, and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies, andprocedures. Follows established standards of practice for image processing and interpretation. Pay: Starting at $35 based on experience
Hours: 12-hour shifts; Saturday- Monday
ROLE: Provide mobile ultrasound services to our client base.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Interact with patients compassionately and professionally by driving company vehicle to each patient, within designated service area
Perform quality ultrasound studies to transmit to radiologist for interpretation
Maintain equipment cleanliness and maintenance schedule
Assist in other service areas, as needed
Submit accurate and timely timesheets, as per protocol
Other duties, as needed:
Scanning, filing, faxing, photocopying, mailing
Attend and participate in meetings
Demonstrate regular attendance
Train other technologists
Perform special projects or other duties, as assigned
Skills:
Basic computer knowledge
Basic ability to use mobile device and apps
Flexibility to adjust to changes and process improvements
Ability to work independently
Professional communication skills, both written and oral
Good driving skills
Requirements:
Completion of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
Vascular and Echo registries. General a plus!
Annual TB screens, physicals, and vaccinations, as required
Valid driver's license, in good standing
