This position produces two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for use by physicians in diagnosis of disease and study of malfunction of organs. Technologist is registered in two different areas. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (overall) include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed. * Explains process to patient, and instructs and assists patient in assuming physical position for examination. * Verifies that the prescription matches the procedure that is going to be performed; make changes in the billing code/exam title as needed.
