Job Summary:
The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images to radiologists and physicians for interpretation. The Ultrasound Technologist performs all aspects of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, pelvic, gynecologic, small parts, Doppler studies and interventional procedures utilizing an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's individual age specific needs and to provide individualized age specific treatment and care. This position may require performing procedure in other departments such as O.R., I.R. and on hospital inpatient units. This position is 100% clinical.
Qualifications

SCOPE OF POSITION: Under the general direction and supervision of the Senior US Technologist, the Assistant Director of Radiology, and the Radiologist, performs a variety of Ultrasound exams. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Registered in 2-4 certifications by the ARDMS (or equivalent/specialized certification).
* Properly identifies and prepares patient for the Ultrasound exam.
