Responsibilities Upon the order of a qualified provider, the Ultrasound Technologist utilizes equipment that employs high frequency sound waves for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. Imaging services vary by location, therefore, performance of sono hysterography and/or vascular ultrasound may be required depending on assigned site. Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years' experience in OB/GYN ultrasound preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training may be considered. Experience with high-risk obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine imaging preferred. Education/Certificate/License Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program (with OB/GYN concentration preferred). ARDMS certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) required; Current certification or advanced experience in Fetal Echocardiography (FE). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Skills Proficiency in 2D, Doppler, and 3D/4D imaging techniques. Strong knowledge of fetal and female pelvic anatomy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Job Title: Sonographer FLSA Status: Non-exempt Classification: Full-Time, 40 hours Supervises: None Reports to: Clinic Director Principle Functions: The Sonographer is responsible for providing an initial scan to determine fetal viability, i.e. IUP, cardiac activity, and gestational age to patients in their first trimester of pregnancy.
