Continuously evaluates sonographic findings throughout the examination to ensure thorough and comprehensive study, providing the physician with complete and clinically relevant diagnostic information. Recognizes situations or abnormalities that require the direct observation of real-time imaging by a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist. Utilizes pulse-wave and color/power Doppler to obtain vascular and spectral Doppler waveforms for interpretation by a Maternal-Fetal specialist. Advises Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist and/or referring provider, if directed, of examination finding, including a preliminary report of findings observed during a diagnostic sonographic evaluation.
