Description
This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week located at Grayslake Outpatient Center. This role is a night/ 3rd shift position with the schedule Sunday to Thursday 10:30pm to 7am. Holiday on call rotation required.

Responsibilities:
Description
* Ensures all exams are ordered correctly in HIS/RIS, charged and tracked accurately.
* Communicates with patient before procedure, explains risks and what can be expected; communicates during procedure to monitor safety and comfort.
* Obtains complete patient history for radiologist to assist in rendering results.
* Enters data such as type of scan, selects proper transducer and techniques.
* Conducts scan according to set protocol per organ or anatomical site; accurately annotates images.
* Views images on video display screen to ensure quality of pictures; reviews scan with radiologist prior to releasing patient as necessary.
* Prepares images and compiles study for radiologist relaying all appropriate information.
* Assists and accurately sets up for amniocentesis, aspiration and biopsies by performing preliminary studies to locate appropriate entry site and provide needle direction guidance.
* Calls referring physician for "wet readings" after reviewing the images with a radiologist.
* Performs clerical tasks such as receiving orders, scheduling patients, and recordkeeping.
* Maintains and cleans work area and equipment.
* Replenishes supplies and stocks rooms as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
* 2 to 3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent.
* American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
* BLS through American Heart Association.

Perform general ultrasound exams (e.g., thyroid, abdomen, pelvis, retroperitoneal, and transvaginal), breast ultrasound, and vascular Doppler imaging.
Process and document images in Oracle/Cerner EHR and PACS systems.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
Prepare patients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and explain imaging processes to reduce anxiety.
Maintain and report equipment malfunctions to the Ultrasound Supervisor.
Ensure strict confidentiality and promote patient privacy.
Respond to emergency situations with appropriate measures to safeguard patient well -being.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (40 hours per week).
Requirements
Current, unrestricted UltrasoundTechnologist license in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities:
Description
Ensures all exams are ordered correctly in HIS/RIS, charged and tracked accurately.
Communicates with patient before procedure, explains risks and what can be expected; communicates during procedure to monitor safety and comfort.
Obtains complete patient history for radiologist to assist in rendering results.
Enters data such as type of scan, selects proper transducer and techniques.
Conducts scan according to set protocol per organ or anatomical site; accurately annotates images.
Views images on video display screen to ensure quality of pictures; reviews scan with radiologist prior to releasing patient as necessary.
Prepares images and compiles study for radiologist relaying all appropriate information.
Assists and accurately sets up for amniocentesis, aspiration and biopsies by performing preliminary studies to locate appropriate entry site and provide needle direction guidance.
Calls referring physician for "wet readings" after reviewing the images with a radiologist.
Performs clerical tasks such as receiving orders, scheduling patients, and recordkeeping.
Maintains and cleans work area and equipment.
Replenishes supplies and stocks rooms as needed.
Qualifications
Required
:
2 to 3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent.
American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
BLS through American Heart Association.
Physical Demand Requirement
:
Physical demands required for this role include lift/carry up to 50 pounds and a push/pull force up to 50 pounds
