This Certified Weld Inspector (Engineering Technician Specialist) position can be located at one of three locations: Shawnee/Kansas City Regional Materials Office, Wichita Regional Materials Office, or the Topeka Material Research Laboratory. Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will hold an active RN license, bring strong MedSurg experience, and demonstrate the ability to work effectively with limited supervision in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
This is a contract assignment beginning early November, with the opportunity to apply for a contract .
Schedule & Hours
12-hour Day shifts (full-time)
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including triage, assessment, treatment, and evaluation
Utilize MedSurg background to manage diverse patient populations with varying levels of acuity
Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient responses in accordance with established protocols
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, including trauma, cardiac arrest, and critical illness
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Function independently and make sound clinical decisions under pressure
What We Require
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience (ER experience preferred but not required)
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (TNCC preferred)
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Flexibility to work evening and night shifts, including weekends and holidays

Directs the work of an Economic and Employment Service (EES) team. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Six years of experience interviewing, investigating, compiling information, documenting decisions, interpreting guidelines and/or providing technical assistance relevant to the agency's programs.

Preferred Qualifications:
