    University Police Officer SALARY: Grade 15 GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Patrols the buildings and grounds and adjacent areas of a State educational institution and enforces State laws as well as rules and regulations of the institution; performs related work as required. Protects safety and security of the UMD population and property. the detection and apprehension of law violators, investigates accidents and complaints, and patrols roads of the institution * Serves court summons, testifies in various courts, and gives expert testimony if qualified * Performs police duties at plays, dances, or at other educational institutional functions * Protects other areas of a State educational institution such as dormitories, resident dining areas, etc. * Prepares reports on investigations conducted and noteworthy incidents occurring during tours of duty * Provides First Responder First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation when required, and provides for the safe transportation of injured or sick persons to the nearest medical facility * Performs police functions over the National Law Enforcement This role ensures the integrity, accessibility, and effective use of Advancement data to support fundraising, alumni engagement, and institutional goals. Working collaboratively with the UMass Foundation, campus IT partners, and end users, the Data Administrator oversees data quality and reporting, leads the adoption of new technologies, and develops solutions that streamline processes and enhance decision-making. In addition to providing expert technical guidance and user support, the position supervises data entry staff, fosters effective training, and promotes best practices in data governance and system utilization. Through these efforts, the Data Administrator strengthens Advancement's operational capacity and contributes to the University's mission of student success, alumni engagement, and philanthropic growth. EXAMPLES OF PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Data and Systems Management * Serves as the Division's lead technical expert, collaborating with the UMass system's Foundation, UITS and other IT offices to ensure system data and reports meet campus requirements * Partners with consultants on the Advancement CRM conversion to align legacy data and processes with system specifications and ensure effective campus adoption of the new application * Acts as the functional expert for fundraising and accounting systems as well as related applications, ensuring system security and reporting accuracy * Develops, coordinates, and manages fundraising and technology project plans in partnership with UMass Foundation support staff * Stays informed on technological trends in advancement and new features added to the fundraising system * Collaborates with the Advancement data management team to maintain data quality and accuracy within the fundraising system * Designs and implements This position blends high-level operational support with hands-on technical responsibilities, ensuring secure, timely, and customer-focused mail and package services across campus. The role involves maintaining and troubleshooting hardware and software systems, coordinating logistics, evaluating processes, and implementing operational improvements to enhance service delivery. The incumbent acts as the primary point of contact for mailroom-related technologies and inquiries, working closely with vendors, campus departments, and students. They provide training and guidance to student employees and staff, oversee workflow, and monitor compliance with established standards. This position requires sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while supervising assigned staff and responding to evolving operational needs in a service-oriented environment.
